"here is my story"

here is my story. My name is Tom. I’m divorced with three amazing kids married for 30 years. after my divorce I was resigned to the fact that you don’t get second chances to fall in love and I thought well I get to live my life with my three wonderful kids and I’ll just be happy watching them fall in love and live their life. One day by the grace of God, I happen to meet this beautiful person named Sandra. I told her my story and that I was resigned to the fact that you don’t get second chances to fall in love she disagreed with me immediately. She said Tom there might be a woman out there who just wants exactly what you want and you’re never gonna know unless you try. I procrastinated for quite some time and she took the time to come out to visit me and said let’s do your profile. Let’s see if you match with someone. At that point I jokingly was like what the hell it’ll be a laugh. I think maybe four or five hours later she said Tom I think this woman would be perfect for you. she initially said she wasn’t even thinking about me for this woman, but she said something to her that automatically made her think about me. So we went on a date. It was just dinner, but it was wonderful. She was beautiful, smart funny and I was nervous. I’ve been out of the dating scene. I was really unsure of what to say and what to do and try not to talk too much but I knew there was something there. We’re on our fourth date and making future plans. I feel like I’m 21 years old again . It’s a wonderful feeling. The best advice I could give you don’t wait when given a second chance . Life is wonderful when you shared with somebody that you want to be with

"Best first date I've been on"

After a lot of demoralizing speed dating events, mixers, and app attempts, I figured I needed some professional help and reached out to When We First. Yvette did a great job setting me up for my best first date! It was at a cute spot and with a great guy. We had a really great time at dinner and were there for about 3.5 hours and then he kindly drove me home (which even skeptical me felt comfortable with!)! Overall, I was surprised by how natural it felt and how conversational it was. We had so much in common! Yvette did a phenomenal job on the personality match!

Prior to the date, Yvette was incredible in really getting to know me and considering what's important to me. We had an initial 1-hour screening conversation before I joined, then a 1-hour Zoom to dive a bit deeper, and then weekly check-in conversations. She's been great at keeping me updated and moving quickly to ensure that a real date actually happens!

There’s a big part of me that wants to skip to the part where I’m married and have a home with someone but if the journey in between here and there includes more along the lines of this first date, I think it will actually be fun, which is a big step in the right direction!
