"Great teachers, great lessons, great value!"

I have been learning Spanish with SpanishVIP for the last 3 weeks and I can't believe how much I've learnt already. I have tried learning Spanish a few times before with apps like Duolingo or Babbel but I didn't learn much and gave up quickly. Learning with SpanishVIP, particularly with my teacher Maria Claudia, is lots of fun and keeps me motivated. I would highly recommend learning Spanish with SpanishVIP.

First I'll say that I'm not affiliated with SpanishVIP in any way other than as a client, and I was not offered anything in return for posting this review. I discovered them in the /r/Spanish/ group on Reddit, and took a leap of faith in signing up with them last month when there were only a few reviews posted. tl;dr> I'm very happy and hope that this review helps other people make an informed decision about trying them out!

My first month with SpanishVIP was great, and my teacher Amber is fantastic. I've been trying for decades to learn Spanish, first in school, then on my own with books and flashcards, and over the past few years through various apps and online classes. None of them have given me the boost that I've seen so far from SpanishVIP.

I've been doing one-hour video chat classes with Amber 5 days a week, and after just this first month, my ability to understand the language is already noticeably improved and my confidence in attempting to speak the language is growing every day.

What I like the most is that Amber and the whole SpanishVIP team go out of their way to check in with you and customize the learning experience to you, unlike apps or other approaches which tend to be one size fits all, and have not worked well for me. While SpanishVIP has a great set of prepared content and lessons for their teachers to use, the curriculum, teaching approach, pace of learning new material vs reviewing, etc are all being fine-tuned as we go each week to best meet my needs.

For example, while some students may find it easy to memorize words or grammar rules, I struggle with this and instead learn best by "doing it" and being coached different examples and situations. Amber has adjusted to find a great balance for my specific learning style.

My Spanish fluency is progressing a lot faster with SpanishVIP than I was with other language learning games such as Memrise and Duolingo. After a recent trip to Colombia, I feel WAY more confident speaking with native Spanish speakers.

I've been bouncing around South America and Spain for a while and started to want to communicate better. The classes I've been taking with these guys has helped a lot. I've gotten past the "clueless foreigner" stage and am able to start building actual relationships for the first time! It's a big relief to understand what's going on and to communicate while on the road. Check them out if you're planning on traveling to a Spanish country sometime soon.

Really recommended for anyone looking to improve their Spanish in a short amount of time. I used DuoLingo and Rosetta Stone, unsuccessfully, for about a year before I tried real lessons. Was able to start having real conversations with my Latin coworkers within about a month of starting classes with SpanishVIP. Extremely happy with the results and service!

So I first got recommended Spanish VIP by a friend of mine who really wanted to tell me that it is way better and simpler than any of those apps that you can currently download. I am of course a sceptic as I was, didn’t believe him until I actually had my first session. I can really say that it is far more intuitive and far more exciting speaking with real people about my experiences and trying to learn quickly.
