What are they for? They dont even reply to emails

"Cancel your direct debit 3 months before renewal"
They make it as difficult as possible to get a refund after taking a direct debit renewal just under a month and half before the renewal is due. I have called once and have written 4 or 5 emails in the vain hope of trying to get a refund in a timely manner. I tried to cancel my membership a month and a week before its renewal was due. They say they will only issue a refund after I return the membership pack which will probably be somewhere in the region of 2 months after they took my membership fee and what happens if the membership pack goes missing in the post (totally unheard of I know). This is unacceptable to someone who lives by himself, long term sick and solely reliant on benefits, I get approx 9-10k a year benfits to pay for house rent and all other bills. Stay clear of this organistation as they are racketeering cowboys who just want your money.

"Not very customer focused"
Took out membership with direct debit (automatic renewal). Decided to cancel. Cancelled my direct debit. Phoned Camra to confirm. Follow instructions on their telephone and nobody answers. Just a message to say 'leave message and we'll get back to you within a day's' Then tried another phone option which resulted in me talking to a person. They asked could you put that in writing. They did agree to send me an e-mail, which I replied to. Not very customer focused.

"Can't say much otherwise CAMRA would censor it"
Pointed at their website discussion format to raise the matter of a reform of pubs' banning rights as I had been banned from one for talking to my friends in a nearly deserted pub and criticising the BLM religion. CAMRA's senior people removed my post and sent insulting messages. All hail the 4th Reich in CAMRA!

"Ultimately the best way to help is drink in your local pub"
This was purchased for me last year as a present, 2019, it's a nice idea but not really worth anything.
I've never received a magazine and the money off vouchers are not really worth the hassle carrying round, unless your local is a participating pub.
Whilst it might be a worthy cause in future I'll be helping by simply buying beer in pubs.

"Excellent Club"
Fantastic club and with all the benefits, vouchers, magazine publication and discounts at my local it is real value for money. Happy to recommend and will be attending the Solihull meetings in the new year.

"Do Not Use The Direct Debit Scheme with Camra."
Hi All, Camra has a tendency of miss-lead all of their clients. I purchased a subscription with them and they told me that if I went on a Direct Debit I would get 15months for the price of 12months. This is not the case, they run a 12months to 12months scheme and take increased amounts on the 12 months anniversary instead of after the first 15 months. If you subscribe to this organisation then I would suggest not to use the Direct Debit scheme as you do not gain anything but hassle. It least if you pay every year yourself you control this amount and when it comes out.
