"fabulous local bicycle repair shop"
fabulous local bicycle repair shop. Popped in yesterday to have an innertube replaced (as well as earlier bike check-ups) and got a speedy and fast replacement. Cannot recommend this shop highly enough.

"Knowledgeable Staff, polite and friendly, quick service, GREAT!"
I decided to go there because I recently took my 2nd bike to Cycles UK Greenwich, for a Silver Service...They charged me £137.98. And fitted a new Cassette and chain, without consulting me first...I don't think it needed them as I had been in the shop several weeks earlier and the Mechanic said it looked fine!!! So, I shall not be going back..took bike 2 in to Parts & Labour today, very fast turnaround, friendly staff and ..Only £35!!! Happy Days.

"Good quick service several times"
Had various bits of bike serviced over the past year (if only the council would fix their potholes...). They've been fast + efficient, doing small jobs like replacing a broken spoke the same day. No upselling.

"If you want cold customer service..."
Service left a lot to be desired, very blunt and unfriendly, I felt like an inconvenience to the staff than a customer. Excessive prices though there's an okay range of products. You could do worse but not a particularly pleasant place to shop.

"Leaves a lot to be desired"
I first went along to P&L to have a new back wheel fitted on my admittedly ageing bike. I was happy with the job done on the wheel because it wasn't something I could do on my own. It was however clear to me that the staff were trying to steer me into getting a full service on the bike which I couldn't afford. Coincidence or not, when I left the shop my rear brake cable had become frayed at the handlebar and proceeded to snap immediately (this was not the case when I took the bike in).
I decided to give P&L a second chance when I recently got a puncture on my rear tyre. I was unable to remove the wheel to fix myself so I took it in. I was again happy with the repair at first sight, and was again directed towards a full service. However, as I cycled away I noticed my handlebar had been loosened. Since I took the bike for a simple fix on the real wheel I don't know why this would have been done. Thankfully I was only riding a short distance and quickly diagnosed the problem - but this obviously could have been very dangerous.
I am reticent to post this review because I like to support local businesses but I do think that others should be warned before they use P&L. Ultimately, I would not be posting this and would instead be going into the store with these complaints but each time I have been to the store I have been spoken down to so I will not be returning.

"They know and love bicycles - all you need to know about them."
Professional independent shop. Clearly loves, and are knowledgeable about, all things bicycle. Beyond excellent communication (responded to my email request for quotation in 7 minutes!). Offered additional advice and suggestions. Friendly customer service and I have total faith in their integrity.

"Parts and Labour gave me great advice…"
Parts and Labour gave me great advice when I was looking for my new eBike and have given fantastic service fitting a few upgrades since I bought it. I'll have no reservations taking it back there when it needs a service.
They gave me a very competitive price on the bike and upgrades too.

"Excellent service and advice."
The guys at P and L cycles really know their stuff. I've used them since the day they opened and they've worked across a range of bikes for me. Restoring an old classic mountain bike back to it's glory plus day to day service and repairs to the commuter bike, the Brompton and, most importantly, care for my high end race bike. Their advice and service has always been spot on. Never pushing me one way or another and always giving me options of service. They have excellent aftercare as well. If I've had any problems they have always gone out of their way to diagnose and trouble shoot. They're a small, independent bike shop who really care.
