"Always welcome another auction platform…"

Always welcome another auction platform to source stock. I'm not sure what they could implement to avoid poorly described cars but I have recently had an experience with this. The same with all auctions though, nice to have another platform to buy from none the less. Simple & cheap.

Customer Service went above and beyond to resolve my issue within a reasonable time frame. I had been charged incorrectly which I think was down to my poor internet connection. Communication was great and managed to get my advert up right away

Good service. Managed to get the ad completed on my mobile. My initial ad didn't sell as my reserve was too high I think. Lowered it and managed to sell in 4 days. first ad you don't pay for so I only paid for the second ad

"Gazumped? Overa left me out of pocket through a cancelled sale"

I don't like writing negative reviews, however, I am doing so on this occasion as I have been left out of pocket by this company.

I bought a car from them that had been advertised separately on Facebook. The price was agreed with delivery arranged for the following day. I therefore set up a test payment and insured the car ready to receive it the following morning.

However, the following morning I received a message from Overa (who had been a pleasure to deal with until that point in fairness) advising they had discovered the car was Cat N and would now be sold instead via auction.

I asked if they would consider renegotiating the price as I was still interested in the car but they would not engage, or even give me the chance to continue with the deal at the original agreed price.

I advised Overa a number of times that pulling out from the sale was leaving me with a £50 non refundable arrangement fee from the insurers but Overa stopped responding to my messages, avoided my calls and would not call me back.

I later noticed they had updated the Facebook ad with a higher price (though still no reference to the Cat N status) and therefore suspect they'd had a higher offer. Their prerogative of course but not good for the customer particularly when them pulling out of the sale left me directly out of pocket with the insurance company.

My original test payment was returned in good time but I remain £50 down from the insurance that was cancelled, which given the circumstances i think Overa should have paid me back for. Again, I asked for this on various occasions but Overa ignored any communications about it and didn't pay.

I have no doubt that their intentions were honest to begin with but think it was very poor form to pull the sale, leaving me out of pocket and then ignore my communications.

Purchased a VW on the site overa the weekend. The seller had described the car accurately. I found the website pretty simple to use. Bargain buyers premium compared to usual auctions

Purchased a Porsche Boxster this week. I was able to collect the car within 24 hours - the pick up process was smooth and friendly - the paperwork was completed clearly with all my queries answered.

Unfortunately the battery was flat but a little help with the jump pack it fired right into life.

Overall good experience.

Quick sign up, has some issues signing up initially as my ID is from a different country. I emailed them and they had me set up within 15 minutes. Will be listing our stock on here in future.
