"Brilliant service"

I have been using mixamate for over 5 years now and I have never had any of the big issues like others have been complaining about, there pump price is reasonable considering it comes already attached to the truck so you don’t need to take up a lot of parking that costs a lot of money to suspend more parking bays with the local council when using a separate pump, also the type of pumps mixamate use they do not make a mess like other companies when cleaning out pump, the concrete is high quality unlike other volumetric companies (I asked driver could I see the aggregate and he showed me), other companies use recycled aggregate containing tiles, bricks, glass, this is not the case with mixamate

"Misguided on the quote"

I received a verbal quote from Mixamate which was somewhat higher than other firms. However, as I needed the concrete v quickly I decided to use them. Although we used less concrete than originally quoted, the final bill came in higher than the original quote. When I tried to explain this to Mixamate, I was told that 'I had made the mistake', despite the fact that that I had written down their quote whist on the phone. There was no apology or attempt to resolve the misunderstanding. Total lack of customer service. They didn't make clear what the cubic metreagae price was, nor did they point out the £35 'transport' charge (that other firms seem to include in their quotes). I wont be using Mixamate again!

"Awful service and reliability"

Doesn't even deserve the one star given.
Called to say they couldn't make the delivery until the day after agreed which was annoying and costly but agreed as they kind of had us over a barrel, then called again to say they wouldn't be delivering for another 3 days with no apology or regard for the inconvenience. I would never use them again and advise others not to.

We were very disappointed that you failed to meet the agreed delivery of concrete today and in particular your inability to apologise for this and to hear about your policy of not accepting any consequential losses.

Your offer of a discount of the £35 + VAT delivery fee to make up for letting us down, which would not even cover the £100 we have paid for the hire of a concrete vibrator we found to be derisory, especially given your assurance that we could buy a concrete vibrator for less than this; in fact all companies I have spoken about this say that this is laughable.

For this reason we have decided not to accept the rescheduling of the concrete delivery but instead will be arranging for the concrete to be supplied by a reputable company, which you most certainly are not.

"Cancelled at the last minute, poor service"

I received a text an hour before the delivery was due that they weren't going to deliver today. I had help ready to layer the concrete and this caused me loads of problems.

Such a poor service, not even an apology.

Don't be fooled by the website this is a cowboy operation.

"Pumped concrete"

Stay clear of this service. They took my card details and did not inform me of the total price untill it had been pumped into the footing. The order was taken from my card on Friday and dropped on Saturday. I new how much they charge for concrete as used them for years so was not concerned. However when the bill was shown it was £1287 for 5.5 metres or concrete proper rip off. I am a builder and know they are robbing people at this price.
So they were trying to charge me £420 for a pump when I have had them for £170 in the past through other company's. Never again. When they pumped they left scratch marks on the drive and when the pump was cleaned sprayed concrete over the back of my house. Did ask the driver do you need protection under the conections? He said no it fine! On the vid it shows ply placed under each one. Not the drivers fault just really poor training.
Chris the boss not interested and loves to hide in his office, not helpful.
They gave me £210 back but still not happy and for that I was very rude to him. Have not finished on that score as yet. As all I wanted was my money back for the pump. If you take card details then give someone a price and you do not think it's reasonable you can go else where. I did not have that option.
Give your money to a company that has a conscience. Get a price from ready mix with a pump. Good luck

"cancelled twice"

I booked mixamate 2 weeks before I needed them because my labours were fully booked and could only do that date. The night before I got a text from mixamate to confirm time for the morning, everything was in place and at 6.50am we get a text to say 4 drivers are sick could they do the next day! our labours had worked booked for the next few days but managed to sort something out so they could be here on the Wednesday to lay the concrete. Tuesday morning we get a call to say it will be Thursday morning now. we are not a big building site just homeowner laying a base for a summer house, but they is a knock on effect, labours needed paying, brick layer had to be cancelled so now cant get him for a few more weeks.
very unprofessional stay well clear if you only a homeowner .

"Not to be trusted"

They are supposed to sell concrete by the cubic meter but they charged me for 50% more than I used.
