The operational strategies employed by this company is what attracts me with this company.
As academician teaching marketing management, I have been looking for a company to use as example in explaining the marketing mix concept. I found this company useful in giving reference to my students. This company is purely customer oriented.

"Eine unseriöse Mietauto…"

Eine unseriöse Mietauto Vermittlungsagentur !!!
Ich buchte bei "Happy-Cars" im Mai ein Auto für Kreta.
Erst mal den Vermieter dort am Flughafen zu finden war eine Odyssee. Dann bekam ich ein bereis schrottreif anmutendes Fahrzeug ausgehändigt. Es war spät am Abend, ich war schon den ganzen Tag unterwegs, erschöpft und hatte noch zwei Stunden Fahrt zu meinem Domizil vor mir. Also übernahm ich das Fahrzeug, was sich von Anfang an als absolute Katastrophe herausstelle. Bereits nach ca. 30 km war der Tank leer. Ich schaffte es gerade noch in letzter Minute zu einer, zum Glück noch geöffneten Tankstelle ...
Einige Tage später war ein Hinterreifen platt, als ich morgens losstarten wollte. Ich kontaktierte "Surprise Cars", den eigentlichen Vermieter auf Kreta, der als Kontakt bei Problemen angegeben war. Der Mitarbeiter dort war sehr unhöflich und unfreundlich und sagte, dass es mein Problem wäre und sie mir nicht weiter helfen könnten. Ich rief dann bei "Happy-Cars" an, aber die mussten dann erst mit "Auto Europe" in Verbindung treten. Nach langem hin und her -Fazit, es gab keine Lösung meines Problems. Ich wurde nur angewiesen, den Reifen zu wechseln und ihn in eine Werkstatt zur Reparatur zu bringen.Mit Hilfe Einheimischer kam dann ein Mechaniker, der es schaffte, unter großen Schwierigkeiten den Ersatzreifen anzubringen. Er schüttelte nun Kopf und meinte, dass dieser Reifen absolut porös sei, außerdem befand sich ein Loch um das Ventil. In der Reifen-Werkstatt wurde mir dann mitgeteilt, dass der Reifen irreparabel sei und überhaupt, dass die restlichen Reifen ebenfalls in einem katastrophalen Zustand seien. Alles in Allem wäre das Fahrzeug verkehrsuntüchtig und es wäre lebensgefährlich damit zu fahren.
Es folgten viele weitere Mängel, wie z.B. ein Öl-leck etc.
Meine Bemühungen, Hilfe von "Happy Cars" zu bekommen waren vergebens. Ich rief mehrmals dort an, aber die mussten immer erst wieder mit ihrem Partner, dem Veranstalter, nämlich "Auto Europe" Rücksprache nehmen, was letztendlich zu keinem Ergebnis führte. Ich wurde immer nur vertröstet und hilflos alleine gelassen.
Somit war aus meinem geplanten Urlaub ein Albtraum geworden.Ich konnte das Mietfahrzeug nicht nutzen und war tagelang damit beschäftigt, die Mängel zu beseitigen.
Hilfe von Seiten "Surprise Cars", dem eigentlichen Vermieter, oder von "Auto Europe", dem "Veranstalter" oder auch von "Happy-Cars", der Agentur bei der ich gebucht hatte, gab es nicht.
Selbst im Nachhinein, um die Angelegenheit geregelt zu bekommen, war ich in Kontakt mit "Happy-Cars". Ich wurde wiederum immer wieder vertröstet, sollte mich gedulden und nach nunmehr über einem Monat ist der Kontakt völlig abgebrochen.
Am 06.06.2019 bekam ich mitgeteilt, dass ich mich weiterhin gedulden solle ... .

noleggiato auto in costiera amalfitana, con assicurazione casco e copertura vetri e pneumatici. Nessunissimo problema neanche con il noleggiatore corrispondente. Prezzo veramente competitivo e buonissima assistenza. La prossima vettura la noleggerò sicuramente con happy car.

"Too many issues, unsecured site, charged more than stated on receipt..."

I have used happy-cars.com 3 times now. The first time went off without a hitch, so I used them again. The second time, my credit card information was stolen off their website (I know this for sure because I used a brand new credit card that had never been used anywhere else before it accrued a fraudulent charge), so clearly their website is not secure or encrypted--beware! The third time, I was charged almost $600 by Alamo almost a month after returning the car. I looked back and found my receipt for the transaction, as well as the charge to my checking account and realized that they charged me $5 more than they stated on my receipt. It's not a huge difference, but it's the principle. If they steal just a little bit of money from everyone, they can make a lot extra. I thought this company was a good deal, and now I know it was too good to be true. NEVER again. EVER. I will not be returning to this site.

"Misleading"

When I booked my airline tickets the site militaryfares.com, I followed on to Happy-cars thinking they must also offer better rates to military members.
My whole trip consisted of a one way flight Colorado to Washington and a one way drive back Washington to Colorado. I selected the options to reflect that I would not be dropping the rental off at the pickup spot. I was concerned about getting this right and checked it mulitple times.
After my selections were made I was able to view optional vehicles with their prices available to me. You're overwhelmed with the "everything's included" so heavily advertised. I needed the minivan and made the selection. I went through the payment process which totaled $796.13. I then received an email instructing me to print off the attached voucher and present it to the counter at Alamo for pickup of my rental.
A day or so later I got nervous they wouldn't have the minivan and found the only way to contact this third party "happy-cars" is by sending an email and of course it's not an immediate reply. I was told it would be the Dodge Grand Caravan (or similar).
I completed the online checkin through Alamo while still in Colorado. I wanted to make sure I did everything I could to make this go smoothly.
AFTER I complete the online checkin a receipt is made available to print. Mind you I've already paid what I thought was the total and complete amount and was just trying to do a checkin. I view the receipt and there's a balance on it of $385!!!!! Looking it over the biggest portion is a drop fee and some of the others are duplicated so I can't do anything else this late in the game but show up and talk with Alamo. Maybe this is why you can't simply call happy-cars on the phone or use the live chat they falsely advertise on their site.
After a full day of flying on 3 different planes with 2 kids and luggage in tow I'm ready to get the van and get into a hotel. I present my voucher at the Alamo counter and am told I do in fact need to pay the additional amount and it is a balance owed. So now I'm in Washington basically stuck. I've already paid nearly $800 and in order for me to get the vehicle I have to pay Alamo another almost $400.
I couldn't get in touch with anyone at happy-cars to find out more or see if I could get reimbursed asap so I could just go directly to one of the car rental counters right in front of me.
Luckily Alamo worked with me and reduced their drop fee, but I still walked out of the paying a couple hundred more than planned after all said and done. I feel very misled and taken advantage of. I was stuck there with no options and thank goodness I was able to pay so we could proceed with our trip.
If happy-cars won't make this right and make changes to their reservation process I will go through my bank. This is bait and switch. Everything reads as though your paying total price for a one way trip car rental only to find out it's not and its not a small difference.
Not only did they get me to pay more, but the stress of dealing with this after the flying, it was just a slap in the face. I will never use happy-cars or any of the other third party sites affiliated with them.
The service I paid for was not as advertised and I will dispute the charge made unless it is corrected first. I do not recommend using this third party or any third party to book vehicle rentals especially if you are making a one way drive!

we have used Happy Cars now, and have found it to be the simplest and most convenient method of renting cars. Prices almost always are under any discounts that we may find and always under when considering insurances.

"Trustable and good service!"

When I visited Boston for the first time, I had an oportunutity to rent a car from Alamo and I can assure you that it was a most enjoyable experience, I drove to Lenox, Mass. to attend a Jazz concert at Tanglewood festival without any road and/or car problems. I strongiy recommend this company to any prospective renters in Boston, Mass. It is very well situated at downtown area and returning the car was quite a surprised experience because it was really fast being done at a nearby garage from Alamo office.
