Fabulous coffee from a great Roaster. You can tell they know their stuff and look for the best beans. Dark Side of the Edge is my favourite when at home. Their Defcaf Mexican is amazing and you wouldn't know it was a decaf unless told.

There is a shop on site to get all your coffee and tea needs. Take your own container to get a reduction on price. Coffee is sold in beans or they will grind them there and then for to the right size for your equipement. The online shop is easy to navigate with the option of delivery or collection.

The Edge cafe is relaxing and friendly with the best Sausage rolls for that guilty savoury snack, and gorgeous cakes for that sweet snack. Super dog friendly.

I have been a customer since they sold their coffee from a tiny little room in the side of the roastery. Always a great place to go and relax with a friend or for a bit of alone time with a great tasting coffee.

"Impossible to get my order"

I was eager to try one of their coffees, hence I placed an order on Beanz.com, together with some other orders. All the coffees I ordered were posted the same day (22/12) and received on the 27th while my Sussex Barn wasn’t even dispatched.

I contacted their customer service on the 28/12/23 and I was told my order would be dispatched the same day, and this was the case. I was happy to eventually have a chance to try their coffee by the end of this week but, unfortunately, the order was not handed to the carrier and is still stuck with them, possibly until next year.

I appreciate that rosters operate in different ways, and I also understand the delay caused by the festivities, but I am really annoyed that an order already delayed will be delayed even further due to not being handed to the carrier.

If I had known the length of time and efforts to get my order delivered, I would have definitely avoided placing an order with them.

I am not sure if I will ever receive the order or if I have to call Beanz and ask them to cancel it and replace the coffee with a different rosters, but I know for a fact this will be my first and last order from this rosters.

"Disappointed, Premium Priced Coffee in Plastic Cups!"

We have been loyal customers of Edgcumbes for many years and purchased £100s of products over that time.

We recently went for coffee at the cafe in Ford only to be met with rudeness when we asked for proper porcelain cups rather than the plastic cups we were given.

We were told that in future we would only be able to have plastic cups (recycled plastic) and not have the choice to have a porcelain cup for our coffee at the cafe.

As a result of this experience, we considered it appropriate to give customer feedback as suggested on Edgcumbes website.

We did so because we imagined that we may not be the only customers disappointed to pay a premium price for coffee served in a plastic cup.

We have now received a positive response from Edgcumbes stating that it is fine for customers to request porcelain cups in future.

We have been receiving Edgcumbes products for over 20 years and have never been disappointed. Our particular favourite is the Rusper loose leaf tea - guaranteed to get you out of bed with a smile on your face and a spring in your step!
