"Legal Advice/Support - Care Home Fees"

I needed some support and advice about a relative and their financial contribution towards their care. I emailed Care Necessities and explained about the case. They came back to me very quickly with a professional response and what actions I could take. They provided me with the legal knowledge that I needed to get the case investigated. I have nothing but admiration for this team. After 5 years of caring for my mum who has alzheimers, but also my dad who is struggling to manage the care and cope day to day, I have reached the end of my tether and despite a formal diagnosis over 3 years ago, still no assessment by social care and no care package in place. I have had excellent advice on how to get started with the difficult process of navigating the legalities, financial impacts and challenges we will face as we look for care options and just to get the assessment my mother needs. I have had very long conversations with Julie who listened, advised, offered comfort and reassurance and never once tried to rush me as I tried to explain the impact on the whole family, not just mum, as her condition worsens, and all of this with no charge or obligation to take it further. I am completely happy to now work with such a dedicated and professional team and trust them to help my father and I with the advice we need as we move forward. I had no idea 5 yeas ago what living with dementia actually entails. It is far worse than anything I imagined and Julie helped me to accept that there is no shame in admitting when you no longer have the energy and time to provide care on your own, or the medical knowledge and skills to keep someone affected by alzheimers safe and healthy. In the absence of any meaningful help from the local authority it can be a lonely, overwhelming and soul destroying journey. Care necessities are always by your side,always answer the telephone if julie is not available when you telephone she will contact you back ,it's nice to have a professional person to talk to and most importantly to listen,the receptionist is also excellent and certainly in our case always relays messages,with the problems we had with the local authority we as parents nearly lost the will to carry on,but the care necessities team gave us the spirit to carry on,always emailing and telephoning to help sort problems out for us,if you are reading this and find you are banging your heads against a brick wall and you find you are struggling give care necessities team a telephone they will listen to what you have to say and help in anyway they can and sometimes it's just nice to unload and clear your head,this is a genuine and honest review I could have praised and said a lot more but whoever reads this you have your own problems.robert

"A truly wonderful company"

Where do I start in singing the highest praise for this company. I have literally obtained for my late mother the first claim for NHS CHC after nearly 12 years. That's right 12 YEARS!!. The health authority / ICB should hang their heads in shame for the disgusting way they have delayed, deceived, lied, misled, ignored, disrespected my mother & her family, also Stephanie & her team at Care Necessities. It has been a constant uphill battle & I have been along with Care Necessities the biggest thorn in their side. We would NOT give in despite the attempts from the ICB to deter us in what ever dirty tricks they could pull to not pay for my mother's care even though it was so obvious they should. I am an extremely stubborn individual who refuses to give up when I know that a severe injustice is being done, but I could not have coped without Stephanie, Julie & all their team. If you want someone who is firmly on your side with no hidden agenda, will run rings around the ICB, will fight with you to get what is right for your loved one & support you 100% than look no further than Care Necessities.

"Caring for our mother"

We are the 3 children of a mother now 107 who went into care at 102. She was immobile and after care through her 90's at home the Doctor decided she needed more care than we with carers could achieve. We sought nursing care but the NHS refused in 2018.
We started appeals but again failed. We found Care Necessities and with their intensive assistance and representations we have found we are now being listened to within the NHS.
Our mothers funds are running out. The NHS pulled an appeal and we survived COVID etc.
Our Advocate prepared and presented in recent times by many hours of team involvement.
The 3 80 to 85 year olds as we now are recognised professional and excellent skills and know we could never have done the same.
