"Not good - no customer service! Edited"
Update 12hours after posting: I believe its only fair to update this as they have now reached out, apologised for the delay and refunded the item. Its a shame that its all a bit late but they have dealt with it quickly and decisively in the end.
Ordered when these we listed as being out - either a Summer break or system maintenance depending on which part of the site you visit. Placed a large order and was prepared to wait. Then out of nowhere my order was shipped and out for delivery with UPS - the worst carrier to try and rearrange. Tried to contact and no response - email or phone. Delivery happened and was very well packaged but DO NOT order the samphire in a jar - its contaminated and tastes like petrol. It reacts to flame as a test! contacted them and no response - nothing. Fill in the contact form online and you dont even get an email copy. Unfortnuately the other food is good but can source elsewhere and will not be ordering again - very disappointed

Awful website they make you pay 10£ for delivery and they still take 10 days to dispatch your order
I placed my order on the 12th of September I contacted the costumer service as no signs of my order and today is 22nd of September and I paid 9,99£ for their delivery and I only live in Cambridge.
Definitely won’t order from them again

"This isn't really a review"
This isn't really a review, it's more of a question as there is nothing on their website. When does this company resume deliveries after their summer shutdown? All I was told on the emails is that they will deliver my item in September. I've had no follow up email since 26th August. Sent an email today asking, but got an instant reply saying the emails "aren't monitored" during summer shutdown! Does anybody know when they open up again?

"Excellent company, will order again soon!"
Excellent company. I had a family gathering this week and ordered a lot of food (frozen and cupboard items) and everyone was very impressed with the quality. I was particularly happy that this company stock sheftalia which I find extremely hard to find in any online deli. The staff were very helpful when I contacted them online with regards to allergens as one member of my family cannot have gluten; they replied almost instantly and advised me in my choice of food.
The food arrived extremely well packaged and the frozen items were still frozen. I will definitely be ordering from Bakalikon again in the near future.
As a side note, I was also impressed with their selection of Greek wines (particularly those from Kir-Yianni).

"Food wasted and really bad customer service. "
I haven’t come across such an incompetent company. I had ordered frozen meat and pastries for a party and paid £11 for quite delivery. I received an email with a tracking number for the delivery. By the way, you can’t choose a delivery slot or even day! The products were delivered to the development’s concierge and i wasn’t notified of this. The box wasn’t indicating food product or frozen food and this is why the box was received by the concierge staff. I enquired the following day about where my order was and this is how I learned where it was delivered! The food was already defrosted and not safe to eat as was meat!
I asked for a refund and all they said was that it was my fault! My responsibility! And that I have the wrong address (?!?!?). The food was delivered to the wrong address (the concierge) and not to my home!
I responded and guess what- they didn’t even bother to email me back!
Incompetent and the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Amazing service and products. Really cannot recommend this website enough if you are looking for food and drink produce you can only purchase in Greece. Experiencing so much nostalgia with my Fanta blue and 3bit Chocolate bars!! Haven’t tried the frozen products but they look amazing. Order arrived in 2 days, great communication from the store directly, and packaged very well. 5 star all round.
Plan to continue using your services for the foreseeable future.

"Zero stars"
Zero stars. Delivery charge rip off. I initially asked Bakalikon over fbk messenger for delivery fees, they said there is no delivery fee over £25. I made an order for £27 - small & light 4 items totalling to less than 1kg. Royal Mail charges £2.99 for it and EvRI 2.99 or £3,98 if next day .
I noticed they didn’t ask for delivery address so I emailed them but they said that that employee made a mistake and either I pay £10 delivery fee from Nottingham or they cancel the order. I asked to speak to the manager. As punishment for my reflection re cost of delivery for a packet under 1kg now they don’t reply to my email, no reply on messenger, and both phone lines are cutting off. My money is now being held and no service and no communication.
Flat delivery fee of £10 regardless of your purchase below £55 (they corrected themselves) is over the top and that’s already on top of the double/triple costs of the products compared to what they really cost, which as customers we already accept by making an order. I do not recommend.

I've made two orders so far and every time the products were all there and packaged with extra care (chilled & frozen shipping). Delivery (UPS) was on time and with frequent updates on its status. The website is a bit clunky but the overall UX is acceptable. I'll definitely be ordering again. Thank you.
