"Faulty 66I"

Bought a GPS off these guys, turned out to be faulty.
Steve took responsibility for the faulty unit and in the end he had it replaced and upgraded.
Initial contact, service and delivery was excellent, replacement a bonus.
Highly recommend

"Owner did not take kindly to my honest review"

When I first rang the firm to talk to someone re whether a Garmin watch that cost about $1500 that I wanted to purchase for my son’s 40th birthday, was in stock, I was told by a very abrupt man they had about 50 watches at this price and I needed to be more specific. I could not talk on phone and look at my son’s txt at the same time, not that tech savvy. He was so abrupt I did not want to buy off this firm but I did, later purchasing it online, as they were the only firm that could deliver in the time span I wanted.
I received a message saying it had been delivered a few days later. I went in to the garage as the couriers leave our parcels there. No parcel. Went down our long rural driveway to the letterbox on a state highway and the package was in there. I was shocked as this was a $1500 watch, what if someone had stolen it.
On the google review I gave I mentioned exactly this. This morning I received a phone call from Steve, presume he was the owner and the person I dealt with on the phone. It was the strangest most aggressive calI I have ever had. We used to have a Courier Post run, so I know what a track and trace parcel looks like. This was in a plain bag not a Courier Post bag, he kept saying ‘I” did not deliver the parcel, I knew that, a courier did, he said they sent it in a courier bag, so courier must have changed the packaging, that would be a very strange thing for a Courier to do, but again, nothing I had control over. A most aggressive phone call, in the end I put the phone down. My opinion of this firm went down even lower after this call. Bad feedback is great feedback, this is the way you find out you had a problem and sort it.
The watch was great, our son flew off the top of a local mountain and landed in a paddock next to our house, a good safety back up when he goes paragliding.
A Company is obliged by law to protect the personal details of their customers. Clearly your Company has no privacy policy, as you have given out my physical address, phone number, email address and my name in your reply to my review, this is not acceptable, as my personal details have no relevance to the point I was making and should be protected by Fitness NZ.
I am sorry I did not keep the packaging that the watch was sent in, but as I told you on the phone yesterday Steve, it was thrown out 8 days earlier when I opened the parcel. You can check with NZ Post the tracking number you used without having the bag, signature was obviously not required for NZ Post to leave it in the letterbox, they are very good at leaving our parcels where we have requested them to be left if a signature was required they take a photo of the parcel.
Again the whole problem was not the bag it was sent in but the fact a watch costing over $1500 was left in our letterbox along way away from our house and could have been stolen and the very very aggressive manner of yourself Steve.

Brought of them for the first time after reading reviews here as they were cheaper than others. You are still getting the same authentic product, delivered quickly, just cheaper than the rest!

"Where is my RIGHT????"

I have purchased from them Sony NW-WS413 - Waterproof Walkman Headphones and stopped working within 8 months I was told no problems with repair problems...now is almost 6 months and still waiting for news!!!

The Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA) protects consumers by:

allowing you to seek repairs, replacements or refunds when goods are faulty
setting minimum guarantees for all products and services.
All New Zealand businesses and people in trade have to meet their responsibilities under the CGA. This means if you have a problem with a product or service, you can do something about it. I'm very disappointed! and because I feel I've been treated unfairly than others I never had issues about warranty before this company. Usually it takes 2 weeks to 4 weeks and sometimes they replace product SHAME ON YOU!!!

Thanks for the heads up Name, Sony have a back-log of items they are working through and they are trying to see what has gone wrong with these.



They think it’s user error – Ill push them for an update and get a letter drafted for your “lawyer” as well.



If this is user caused problem, then there is a charge applicable as well.

Absolutely Excellent Service!
I originally ordered an item from the Garmin website. More than 2 weeks later, had no money taken, but no delivery either. Tried calling Garmin for 2 hours without being able to get through to anyone... Had enough.

Just in case I decided to call Fitness New Zealand, got through to someone straight away.
Then I ordered off FitnessNZ and the item was delivered the very next day.
Very happy with Fitness New Zealand. :-)
