Bought a new turbo for my NPR300 Truck on Friday 23 September 2022. Had it fitted by a professional Workshop and it was faulty straight out of the box. Turbomaster advised they would reffund the purchase price of the turbo and then advised the Workshop to try and fix it to hasten the down time wait for another one.
Despite widespread enquiries a qualified Mechanic couldn't be found over the Christmas period and was postponed until today. Today Turbomaster and in particular Cooldrive have refused to pay the warranty claim on the grounds that I tried to repair it myself. I paid professionals to fit it and it was faulty and couldn't be fixed. I Never did any work myself and the mechanics I paid adamantly claim the turbo was faulty from the box. The result is Turbomaster/Cooldrive is refusing to honor any Warranty whatsover and will not refund the purchase price. We are now headed to Court for the cost of the turbo and the downtime caused by the hopeless Warranty failure. We will NEVER buy another turbo from Turbomaster or Cooldrive ever again. The customer service is below dismal. Turbomaster has an uncontactable Phone number and email address and a sign saying it has been taken over by Cooldrive on 27/01/2023 on it's website page. They refuse to give contact details for legal recourse and the person responsible isn't available at all if you contact Cooldrive
