"BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU PAY!!!"

I thought I was paying for a $25 online course for my son to complete so he would be prepared to take the written part of the driving test. It started at $60 but then they offer you a discount to get it for $25 if you complete everything fast enough. I was hurrying to put my credit card number in etc. and right when I was finished, I looked it over before I submitted and they had changed it to a $809 driving package that included the original online course and some driving lessons. That is a very dishonest way to do business. Also, I was going to pay for a couple driving classes AFTER he passed the exam but now I will not use this company for anything. I see that Coastline answered me within 24 hours. They were trying to do a bait and switch and they are now trying to say I saw it wrong. I see they many other bad reviews and still will not do business with them.

"Great Company and Employees"

I cannot speak highly enough about Coastline Academy Driving School and the excellent job they did for my granddaughter! It was so convenient to schedule lessons in any CA town my granddaughter happened to be in, and they picked her up and dropped her off. However, try to make your appointments early because they do book up quickly.
Two of the three instructors were so professional and were paramount in helping my granddaughter pass her behind-the-wheel DMV test! The reason I say two of the three instructors were great is because one of the instructors was terrible. So bad that I called the company to complain. My complaint was resolved by “THE BEST” customer service representative (Paige) I have ever had in my adult life (remember I am a grandmother)!!! She refunded the lesson, coordinated with my granddaughter, and scheduled the remaining lessons, as well as the DMV behind-the-wheel lesson/support, with an excellent instructor (Jerry B.)! I highly recommend Jerry B. (Sacramento) – he was the last instructor that spent the most time with my granddaughter.
A company is only as good as their employees – Paige and the two driving instructors were AMAZING – thank you! I deeply appreciate Coastline Academy taking my complaint seriously and remedying the issue. Seeing my granddaughter so happy, now that she has her CA driver’s license, and knowing she has been taught how to drive safely on our CA roads and highways is the best gift for me!!

I would never recommend Coastline Academy. They are not clear that all of your pre purchased items will expire in one year, even in California. Then when you call to inquire they try to sell your credits back to you at a reduced price, what a joke. My child also reported the material was boring and he learned more from reading the State provided DMV handbook. I will find a better and more trustworthy company for training my other children.

"PLEASE READ"

PLEASE READ. My daughter paid for seven lessons over four months. She scheduled her last lesson to include 2 hours of driving PLUS using Coastlines vehicle on 30, April 2024. My daughter texted me and said her instructor had to leave her at the DMV and needed to use another vehicle because of a scheduling issue one hour before the driving test ONE HOUR I called the company and talked with Nigel who immediately started making excuses for the error saying they needed more money for her to continue--total BS. How the heck are you going to tell a young driver one hour before their test that she couldn't use the vehicle? Her instructor Tina had said to my daughter that she was going to call her a week prior and let her know but didn't do it. my wife and let my daughter know we would be there and she could use our truck. We pulled up to the DMV and found a sweet spot for her to start the test and her driving instructor came up to us and said she failed the test. What and the ...? She didn't even make it out of the parking spot. I said to my daughter we got this don't take it personally we use our vehicle to take the next test. Think about this before using this company it could happen to you. The company called and said they would let my daughter use their car for her next test at no charge. We declined and just wanted the money refunded. NO CALL BACK! As a parent, I would keep your kids away from here in my opinion.
