"Lovely grounds/houses APPAULING customer service"
Lovely grounds/houses but APPALLING customer service. They didn't answer my mum's email (sent 5 months ago nor the Chase-email sent 3motnhs ago) and REFUSED to talk to me on the phone (my mum is partially deaf so cannot comfortably/easily talk to them on the phone) even after I explained why, and had all my mums details to hand they wouldn't help. They just said my mum would have to send another email or go to a centre to solve the very simple issue of not receiving magazines/guidebooks. If you're ringing on behalf of someone else, LIE and say you are them, because otherwise, they will not help because of "GDPR" (even though you could lie and they would give you all the information you could desire! not safe, just penalises honest people!) Such a shame the customer service is so bad because otherwise I'd give them more stars, ( I only gave 3 because the sites are nice) as it is, ill likely just not renew at the end of this year.
I also waited for almost 3 months for a refund (that they agreed to) and had to chase them to get it sent to me. (They did eventually solve this for which I'm grateful, just a shame it was so difficult) Don't bother emailing, they just ignore you, and good luck over the phone!!!

My membership card didnt arirve but they took the money! As others, I have waited for an hour on several occasions to speak to national trust on phone and no reposnsen. Made a formal compalaint and also no repornse- are they in difficulties? this is no way to treat mem,bers

Is it working from home why they don't answer the phones I wonder? After two attempts to contact them by phone with long waits on hold and no one answering I just wonder if my above question is the true answer to the problem.

We lost our life membership card in mid-April and informed NT immediately
We received a no-reply email with a case number......then......NOTHING
Two months later......still NOTHING
We have sent numerous emails which have not been replied to
The helpline appears to have been abandoned
The negative comments on this page are very disturbing
Why don't "they" care?
How can NT's management not respond to the 1000 cries for help on this page????

We have just returned from a few days away in our motorhome and very much enjoyed visiting Lacock - The Courts Garden and Great Chalfield Manor. They were all in good shape and well-managed. The period guide at Great Chalfield was particularly good.
Having said that I called on 14 Jun about membership and there was no reply. That is always a poor reflection on any organisation and looking at the comments on Tp the board of directors must be asleep.

Ever tried to contact the National Trust? They don't answer emails and their call centre keeps you on hold for ages and then cuts you off. I have been trying to cancel automatic renewal since 18th May 2023, it appears they are only interested in taking your money and once you have signed up for auto renewal make it difficult if not impossible to stop it.

Renewed my membership a month before it expired and 6 weeks later and after waiting in a call queue for 30 minutes, sending 2emails wexare still waiting for new cards - so disappointed with lack of communication and service, not sure who else to contact.

"Joining offer is a scam"
Appalling customer service. Took out membership in March with an offer of a £15 voucher to use in NT shop or cafe. Multiple emails and calls later, I still haven’t been sent the voucher. Really didn’t expect to be scammed by the National Trust. I won’t be renewing my membership.
