"The old cards for 2020 to this year…"

The membership cards for 2020 to this year were applauded rightly for not being plastic - they looked like they were plastic but were paper. The new cards sent out this year are definitely paper and they are useless - our joint cards stuck together in the envelope and just fell apart when separated..... what was wrong with continuing last year's idea??

"Very disappointed in the National Trust"

Very disappointed in the National Trust. They seem to have lost sight of the historical past they should be preserving and have started promoting their own ideas about how history should be viewed.
The properties are not staffed properly so much is not open and cafes don't have food!

"Penbryn Beach, Ceredigion"

Hugely disappointed to see so many dogs on the beach at Penbryn today, when it is clearly posted to say dogs not allowed on beach between May 1st and Sep 30th. NT obviously not even bothering to police their own properties to see if the rules are being followed

"Money Grabbing"

This weekend NT started charging for parking at Lamberts Castle in Dorset. This is an area where the land is naturally maintained by cattle. They use the old aged excuse of charging to pay for keeping it beautiful. They will find that out of holiday seasons they won’t get much money as locals will park elsewhere and yet they will still be paying for someone to go round and check the car park. Also, it is pay by phone. Not every service is available in the car park and believe it or not not everyone has a phone.

"Poor Car Parking badges"

The Car Parking badges sent out by the National Trust this year are very poor quality. They just will not stick on one's windscreen. I've had to buy a plastic holder for mine and our friends had to rescue their's from the vacuum cleaner after it had fallen off and got swept up.

"Fantastic!"

I am a National Trust member for a third year and consider it an honour to support with my humble fee the tremendous work and noble mission to save Britain's natural and historic heritage. I simply cannot imagine this country without this iconic organisation! I loved every single place of theirs that I have visited! They are a haven of peace, culture, serenity, cleanliness and beauty! The staff are polite, friendly and knowledgeable!
My last visit was to Hill Top, the home of Beatrix Potter in the Lake District. My conversation with the curators was a pleasure and left me much enriched!

Very woke. I won't be re-joining until professional management is appointed.

"£1.65 for a bottle of water!! £5.50 for Jam!!"

Visited Chartwell yesterday. Did not realise how warm it was so only took one bottle of water which we drunk half on the journey there. When we arrived decided to purchase two small bottles of water. £3.30 for two bottles of water. I cannot believe that the National Trust can charge its members & guest this amount of money for water. Yes I expect to pay around £1 when out & about however did not think the National Trust would be so greedy. I was initially annoyed & then upset.
Then after our very enjoyable walk we visited the shop. Purchased a jar of Jam - £5.50. Again disappointed. Yes I totally understand that the N T has lost money due to closures etc but please revisit you pricing policies.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to…"

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to canons Ashby Northamptonshire yesterday visiting the gardens and cafe with our dog . Normally we visit Stowe as we can take our puppy with us ,but this summer Canons Ashby are allowing dogs in the garden ,such a good idea asa well behaved dog on a short lead causes no trouble . We saw 4 other families with their pooches whilst there . All dogs sat quietly under the tables in the outside cafe area ,the only noise came from a child having a tantrum . We have at times felt excluded from so many trust gardens for having our dog with us although we pay the same membership
