"DR FRANCIS IS THE MAN"

Dr. FRANCIS has the patience of the Pope. I've been studying for Step 3 for a very long time during residency. It was the most anxiety inducing experience I could've ever imagined, especially being that I'm such an anxious person, and I'm a psych resident and most of the step 3 material, I do not need. He was patient, and brought me back to the basics of his teaching. I'm eternally grateful. He's been with me since Step 1, while I was in med school, when I had failed Step 1 and I didn't think I could pass these exams. He restored my confidence, and basically held my hand throughout the entire process. 2 years later, I'm 2 years into my residency, and I've passed each Step exam on the first try with his teaching. I have 1 more year to go and I'll be on to fellowship and starting my private practice. I'm ETERNALLY GRATEFUL FOR DR. FRANCIS AND THE PASS PROGRAM. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME PASS STEP 3!!!!

"Room to Improve, but Great Professor"

I really enjoy Dr. Francis' teaching style. He is very engaging and connects the concepts to promote understanding. He teaches physiology really well. There can be improvement with the way biochemistry and biostats is taught. It would also be helpful to have most of the lectures on the scheduled days (it has been running over time more often than not), which can be very intimidating for students that need to retake their exam soon.

The course is very expensive, but does not include ethics nor practice questions or exams. I am grateful that the live course is recorded, however it does not include tutoring hours. It would be helpful if the drill ppts were made available to students. The provided Quizlet is helpful, but can also be updated as there are a few items that are incorrect. The OMM portion of the class was not communicated well during the first week and not as helpful throughout the course.

The PASS Program led me to my success in medical school. Dr. Francis truly has the most efficient method I’ve ever learned when learning concepts. My physiology knowledge was lacked before I started this program, now, I passed my exams and scored honors in all my rotations. My preceptors were all impressed with the knowledge I knew because making connections was the key of it all and it was because of joining PASS. And of course, all thanks to Dr. Francis and his outstanding staff!

"Teach a student to think for themselves…"

Teach a student to think for themselves and they'll stop quoting books! One of the most powerful phrases I've ever heard in Medicine. Not only did I pass step 1 and step 2 on first attempts, but the patterns and connections I was taught and made for myself impressed preceptor after preceptor. Invaluable!!

"Changed my Life "

The only word I can really use to describe my experience at the Pass Program is amazing. From the people I met to Dr Francis to all the tutors to the curriculum it changed my entire outlook on not only medicine but life. Leaving the program just gives you a whole new grasp and outlook on medicine. I did the program while it was still in Champaign I was down and out but Dr Francis made me believe that anything was possible and after I was done learning I took my step 1 and passed it. Couldn’t have done it would the pass program

If I could give PASS program a higher score then 5 stars I would. Not only did I accomplish my goal of passing step 1 and 2, I made real friends and connections that will last a lifetime. What can I say about Dr. Francis, he is the best teacher and most authentic persons I have ever met. He is dedicated to get everybody ready for the exams and that is always the number 1 priority in this course. But I gained so much more than that. It is money well spent, you will get to know other future doctors from around the world. The greatest thing the program did for me is make me feel smart again, it gave me confidence im not scared of getting asked questions by any attending. 10/10 do recommend. The value that you get from the program far than exceeds its cost.

(Also Dr. Francis is hilarious he could be stand up comedian, very light hearted)

"Best Review Class Ever"

I am someone who struggled through both the pre-clinical years, so I was well aware that I did not have a good grasp on the basic materials, so I decided to come to the Pass Program before I studied for and took Step 1 on my own. I know for a fact that I would not have been able to do this amount of prep and organization on my own.

Yes the course is fast and condensed. Yes the information is overwhelming. Yes you will have long days and yes you will get behind. But more importantly, it is so so worth it!!

Dr. Francis and the entire tutor staff will drill into you the most important concepts and are truly dedicated to your learning. You are recategorizing everything that you thought you knew by learning the patterns and clues. Before I started the Program, I was very rarely getting any UWorld averages over 35 or 40 but afterward my averages were trending upward 60’s.

The drill instructors and sessions were phenomenal and a great tool for my growth at Pass. Not only was it a great way to get another pass through material, but it allowed for us to also prepare for being “pimped” on rotations. Confidence is key and I definitely gained a lot from these drill sessions.
Overall, every tool and rule they give you at Pass was helpful. I highly recommend the program to anyone trying to find a foundation and Pass these exams!
