"This is a poor company"
This is a poor company. DO NOT USE. They really cannot call themselves experts as they are far from that. Made a complete hash of it, damaging skirtings/kitchen cupboards and taking no responsibility. Left rubbish in the wrong bins, make an absolute disgusting mess of our toilet. They mentioned 4 coatings but the flooring was rough so you can tell that the dust was there before the coating was put on and that I doubt there was 4 coating. You have been warned.

"A mediocre performance"
A mediocre performance from a team rushing to finish quickly rather than finish well. Be prepared to spend time touching up their work!
Floor Sanding Experts were in the middle of the range of quotations for the work, and their back office operation seems efficient, so I had reasonable expectations for the work. Unfortunately they sub-contract, so I guess the teams that actually do the sanding are of variable quality. I got one at the low end.
My floors are old, and with 100 years of wear and tear they were in ok but not great condition - so I wasn't expecting perfection. The actual sanding went more or less OK, although the team did hit a problem with some springy floorboards that they only highlighted to me at the end. While the condition of the floor wasn't their fault, they should have communicated the problem as soon as they found it, rather than trying some hare-brained fixes (nailing into old, brittle concrete?!) and being content to leave the job in a half finished state.
The problem was really that they were in a rush - I guess being paid by the job rather than the hour incentivises rushing. Their attention to detail was poor. I found badly applied filler, filler not sanded away but left in lumps on the surface, patches they missed with the finishing sanding grit, pine slivers left proud of the surface, and glue squeeze-out not sanded down or removed. Attention to detail is what separates great from mediocre, and this work was definitely in the mediocre category. Of course you can't see this story of thing in the at-a-distance photos of floors they post online (especially under a coat of glossy finish), but it's obvious in person. Besides the poor quality work, they also managed to knock some radiator pipework and cause a slow leak.
The back office staff took a look at these issues and decided that they met their expected quality standards, which probably tells you all you need to know. So if you go with this company, be prepared to get a not-so-good subcontractor, and to need to spend a good half a day tidying up the things they miss.

"Jekyll and Hyde experience…"
Jekyll and Hyde experience with this company.
Most importantly the work to restore our parquet floor that Filip completed was excellent. He and his partner were a credit to the company. He went out of his way to ensure the job was completed including coming back at weekends to do parts work that could not be completed, for genuine reasons, during the scheduled visit.
The experience was let down by the initial scheduling and then being chased for payment on the day the invoice was issued. Expect an interestingly worded email with the invoice followed by repeated phone calls within 24 hrs of completion. This element soured my experience. Fortunately it will long fade from my memory and I will be left with the floor which I can't fault.

"Just called this lot"
Just called this lot, advertise £12m2 for sanding real wood flooring, I have 23m2 to do, told them this, and also I wanted heavy duty varnish as have a dog, so expected about £15-20m2 based on prices on their website.
He quoted me £920 plus vat!! That’s £40 m2!!! Can get a new floor for that!! Told him it says £12m2 on their website, just rumbled off a load of rubbish and then mysteriously couldn’t hear me and cut off when I challenged him about the price being a joke!!!
Sounds like a right rip off to me!!! I would avoid!!

"2 bedroom floors sanded"
2 bedroom floors sanded. Fantastic results. Alberto worked incredibly hard. Wish I could add photos as both rooms look superb.

"Excellent job - delighted with the result!"
We initially felt hesitant to use Floor Sanding Experts after reading a few reviews of them on this website that were absolute stinkers. But we emailed Tom (at the Dalston store) an extensive list of questions and concerns and he was amazingly professional, knowledgeable and reassuring so we decided to take the plunge. Alberto who worked on our living room and hall floors, was a superstar. Professional, hard-working, kind and genuine, he gave us great advice and very obviously took immense pride in his work. He worked over the weekend, plus he supplied some insider intel on where to get delicious Spanish food! Both Tom and Daniel in the office were incredibly polite, patient and efficient, and were always on hand if we had any queries. Our floor looks so cool - a grey lime-washed look that is very different from the grey painted version we had originally wanted. We love it. Maybe those stinker reviews were for another team, I dunno... I would highly recommend Alberto and the Dalston team of this company!

"Do not use this company under any circumstances"
Do not use this company. Asked for a satin finish ended up with matt. In the middle of this debacle my wife died they showed absolutely no sympathy just kept pretending me for the balance. I explained that all our money was in my wies name and was frozen in he account. They couldn’t have cared less threatened with balifs. Then they said the finish was satin matt which we were in unaware of as we had specified satin They are a bunch of unfeeling cowboys with absolutely no feelings except for money. Absolutely horrendous people

"This bunch of cowboys ruined my floor"
About five years ago I decided to have my kitchen/dining room floor resurfaced, so I commissioned this bunch of cowboys (as I was later to learn) to do the work. A salesman came and gave an estimate and then a workmen came and did the work. It looked fine and "you have a very nice floor" said the workman after he had finished. Three or so years later, (about 2 years ago now) I noticed that some of the tiles were disintegrating, and bits were coming loose. (the floor is a solid Teak wood tile, 6mm thick, at least to begin with). When examined more closely the tiles at this point had been sanded down to 1.5 - 2mm. That means that the sander had removed 4mm of thickness from the floor.
Fast forward to now and so I decided that the time had come to re varnish the floor, so I contacted Floor sanding Esperts and requested a quote. Cutting a longish story short, what follows is their reply;
"Management have advised that we could not provide you with a further quote as we do not believe a 1.5mm would be sufficient to re-sand and would leave the floor in a brittle to unsave condition as we usually look to take at least 1.5 mm as per the generall 2-3 stage sanding process."
So in other words, (ignoring their spelling and grammar), firstly they ruined my floor and now they wash their hands of it.

"A New Lord Has Been Born on This Blessed Day"
Rejoice! It was on the Ides of March when I first alerted these named angels "Floor Sanding Experts .co.uk" to my rodent-themed abode. For years, this wretched home has scritched and scratched and scrotched at my poor dainty soles, but no longer! When I sounded the horn, their chariots came (that would be a ford transit, for those on benefits!)! "Floor Sanding Experts .uk" arrived within 15 to 35 minutes, on a wednesday (Or perhaps even a thursday!) and rapped rhythmically and rapaciously upon my great portcullis! Upon opening it, and receiving the young man as my honoured guest within the household, he promptly looked at my floor "This is dirt" he said, "you've painted dirt", "that will be 25 pounds please" and so it was that I gave the young lad 26 pounds! (An extra pound was added for a small Woolworth's "pick 'n' mix" for the poor boy!) And so it was, that these so called quick-thinking "floor sanding expert .com" lived up to their name with their perceptive nature realising that my floor was not floor! But dirt, upon which I had slathered Dulux! godbye

"Poor quality!"
Don’t use this company. The floor they sanded initially looked ok eventhough they forgot to put gapfiller in one corner of the room. Now one month later a lot of the gap filler has come out already leaving the flooring unsightly. I complained and they said the aftercareteam would be in touch. That was almost one months ago and I still haven’t heard back.
