I’m an experienced seamstress but was both in an hurry and curious about ordering a tailored dress for an upcoming event.
I received my new dress in the timeframe promised and was pleased with the custom fit. I was especially happy with the high quality cotton fabric and sewing details. The dress was lined, seams were finished and it machine washed/dried really well. I plan to order again in the future.

"Very pleased with my first order, a sleeveless short dress"

I just received my first order from SeamsFriendly, a sleeveless short dress. I gave SeamsFriendly a try because I am very short (5’ 1”) and usually a “short” (not mini) dress, even when off the rack as a petite size, hits at an unflattering length below the knee for me. I made a mistake on my original bust measurement, but SeamsFriendly made it easy for me to correct that in their order follow-up email, and also allowed me to add a lining to the dress (for an extra fee, of course). The website clearly states that the dress is translucent, and I didn’t want to have to wear a separate slip. I also noted that I didn’t want a tight fitting dress, but also not so loose as to look matronly. The dress that I received fits just as I had hoped, I can move comfortably yet the dress looks well-fitted to my small frame. They did a great job! Next time that I order I will mention that my shoulders are slightly narrow, now that I see how one of their sleeveless patterns fits me.
The green color of the dress is slightly darker than I expected but it is very pretty, and the difference could be because of the settings of my phone screen’s brightness level.
The quality seems good and the features of the dress are as described—it has two pockets!
I placed my order on 3/19/25 and received it on 4/7/25, which I consider to be a very reasonable timeframe for a custom-made dress that shipped from India to the USA. I will return for future orders!

"Custom Cotton with SO many options!"

Having the option to pick and choose details to create custom cotton outfits is amazing. Tailoring to an individual's measurements seems like a lost art, and SeamsFriendly is bringing back this important skill and sharing it with those of us who cannot sew. I appreciate all the communication after the ordering process, and I was very pleased with my finished dress that fit me because it was made just for me. I've come back for more!

"Great value, excellent customer service "

This company is very responsive and polite. They take care of all the details. The quality of the material and clothing is excellent. The customer care team is right on top of everything. The garments are exactly what you expected. And their prices are good. My feedback is that you should provide larger visual sample of all the fabrics you have available. Right now, The icons for each fabric is so tiny that I’m having to guess at the colour and pattern. I would also request that you make brighter colours and pastel colours available. My skin has a yellow undertone so I don’t like wearing yellows oranges and reds. But I love magentas, turquoise, mint green, baby pink, etc. I would definitely use this company many more times in the future. In fact, I have already placed my second order.

"Horrible quality"

Ordered 6 pieces of clothing and the quality on all them is very poor. The cotton is supposedly high quality but it feels like sandpaper. Another piece came with a faulty zipper that I'll likely have to pay to get fixed since the company is not responding to my emails. The pieces also did not fit well even though I sent over precise measurements. I would absolutely never buy from them again.

I ordered a custom made dress from this shop on Etsy and am very pleased with what I received. The dress fits perfectly, the fabric is wonderful (a very soft yet sturdy cotton), and shipping to Europe was fast, too. The shop owner is easy to work with, and I can highly recommend this shop.

More than 10 emails further because I want to return a see trough item. They keep requesting a picture while my girlfriend is wearing it and won't return her money. Even though it is EU regulation that return within 14 days is mandatory. Additionally, I was not aware of over 100 euro's in import taxes I still had to pay on top of the purchase price.
