"Poor service"

I recently changed from my current insurance broker due bad service , what a mistake going with this company, after initially contacting them they said they would call me back but never bothered , after I called them again , I spoke at length about what I needed , I was quoted a price , this changed 3 times before I paid ,they got my address wrong and when I questioned this was told as long as the postcode is correct it doesn't matter !!!! Really..... maybe I should of heard the alarm bells ringing ,I was told i needed to print the certificate off to put in the windscreen, I explained I don't have access to a printer, that's fine I was told were send them to you.....that was weeks ago and still nothing, I received an email within 24 hours asking me to supply a copy of my passport , driving licence , vehicle registration and proof of no claims bonus, why wasn't I told I needed to send all this before I paid ? (I had all the documents but am not happy how my personal information is being used) .I am looking at renewing my house insurance and need travel insurance , why would I use abbeygate after all this hassle, just looking at all the 5 star reviews for abbeygate portugal ....all the people leaving just one review , except Theo who has written 2 reviews for abbeygate Portugal and Cyprus having brought insurance for 2 different countries within 3 days of each other ......doesn't add up

"Quality and fast ensurance providers"

I needed some ensurances with urgency and Roberto was incredible, always concerned and trying to solve my issue. He really did his best and I'm very thankful, since I have a touristic business, and a good ensurance partner is key for success. Guess just found mine! Really happy.

If you just want the documents to put in your car then this may be the company for you. But if you want a company that’s responsive, that does what it says it will do, that will support you if there’s a problem and who can be relied upon to behave ethically: Hmmm – Not so much.

They didn't used to answer any mails except when your policy was due for renewal. Now they don't aswer at all. I don't know how it would be if you needed to make a claim!

Also, isn't interesing how many of their positive reveiwers have only ever made one review. It's like they opened an account just to review Abbeygate. Maybe it's like a Friends & Family thing??
