False marketing, critical feature flaws, endless bugs, and poor development quality. Support is polite but ineffective — real issues are ignored or pushed onto a "feature ideas" board. Absolutely not recommended for any serious business.

The plugin is heavily marketed as a professional solution with Add-ons like Gift Cards, Cart — but what you actually get is a collection of poorly integrated modules with serious limitations. Gift Cards, for example, are nothing more than one-time-use vouchers, completely misaligned with what anyone would reasonably expect. Important limitations like incompatibility between Cart and Gift Cards are not mentioned upfront — only hidden in documentation.

On top of that, there are multiple bugs (broken image scaling, incorrect time slot behavior, etc.), and the user experience on mobile devices is unacceptable for a paid product. Many critical issues are simply redirected to their "ideas board" where they sit ignored for months.

Support is polite but ultimately ineffective — they acknowledge problems but offer no real solutions or timelines for fixes. It feels like once you buy the Pro version, you're left on your own.

Overall, BookingPress has been a huge disappointment. I cannot recommend it to any serious business looking for a reliable booking system.

Have created three support tickets so far for things that don't work in the way you would expect them to, but the technical support advice is bang on so far to resolve the tech issues. Make sure you have a good week or more to set it up to your liking. The support takes 48 hours to respond.

This system is completely unreliable and nowhere near ready for production use. It is riddled with bugs, making it practically unusable. The calendar frequently fails to load, preventing customers from booking, and even the admin panel is plagued with issues, making it impossible for staff to manually process bookings.

Technical support is abysmal—responses are slow, unhelpful, and they deliberately limit the number of support tickets you can submit, leaving you stranded with unresolved issues. For a system that claims to be a booking solution, it utterly fails at its core function. I would strongly advise against using this software unless you’re prepared for constant frustration and lost revenue.

The following review of BookingPress, is based on my personal user experience and feedback from my clients after trying four other plugins.

Ease of use:
5/5. BookingPress provides a lot of videos and tutorials on how to set up the plugin. A lot of add-ons are included with the paid version and this is really seamless to setup.

User interface - backend
5/5. This is pretty straightforward to the adminIstrator. You have a lot of options to set the plugin up as you would like. I currently have a customized notification setup for each service item which helps.

User interface - Frontend
5/5My clients have mentioned that the booking app was seamless and easy to understand. Straight forward and notifications helped.

Customer Support
5/5. This is a massive plus for me. The team has a 24 response period but from experience, they respond a lot sooner, depending on how busy they are. They are really helpful in getting issues resolved as quickly as possible. If I could make one suggestion that would put this plugin head and shoulders above others, it would be live support or phone support.

Overall, I would highly recommend BookingPress to anyone who is thinking of getting a great booking plugin for WordPress. The developers are constantly adding new features to make the booking app really great.
