I have been with ICS since I started my company from day one excellent service from ICS and life really made easy for me.

I have been with ICS for about 4 years. There have been a few hiccups, but I don't have a base to compare to others so I suppose an average level is fair. Also been promised referral bonuses, etc and never received those ... which is a bit funny :-)

ICS have responded well to enquiries and everything has happened as they said it would and that is what I need.

"Not happy at all"

Not happy at all. I set up my company and sent them a signed direct debit and then was accidentally copied in on an email saying that I owed them money and they shouldn't do any more work for me. The person who sent the email hadn't even bothered to do a proper check or else she would have seen that I had sent a signed DD. I received an email a few days ago saying that they had sorted out the DD and that it would be taken out of my account which I happily verified was ok by me. I now go into my Freeagent portal (set up by ICSUK) and find that my account has been deactivated. Unimpressed doesn't even come close to how I feel about them.

"ICS UK Payroll"

ICS UK payroll company and Wells Tobias recruitment agency operate in tandem, telling people they can't have their wages unless they receive them through ICS UK.

ICS UK then removes a shocking proportion of your wage for their services, saying they make it up to their clients by claiming back tax and basically blinding them with jargon. For me, they wanted £20 a week. The tax I would receive in return was minimal (under £5).

These two companies are hugely dishonest. STAND YOUR GROUND. If you say you're not prepared to be charged to receive your wages, and that you won't accept the position if they persist, they eventually give in and you end up on the Wells Tobias payroll.

I had to speak to citizens advice about this problem and it caused me no end of stress. AVOID.

Note: Wells Tobias never pay you on time either.
