Amazing Moves

"We used this company for the first time…"
We used this company for the first time and were really pleased. AmazingMoves packed our up 2 bed flat up and then moved it. Plus moved our storage bay items for us as well (of which there were a lot).
Easy to book, pleasant guys who moved us. Nothing was too much trouble. All boxes put in the rooms that we asked and the guys took lots of care taken over our newly decorated house!

"I can't recommend Amazing Moves highly enough!"
I would really like to recommend this moving company I happened to use on our house moving day on Feb 19. I was browsing through different removal companies as Amazing Moves appeared to offer me the best value and the communication from the office end was very supportive and helpful throughout the entire moving process and on the very moving day. The van that turned up to move me was massive and very efficiently packed with all my stuff, safely arranged and organized so it could fit. The two movers who provided the service were friendly, communicative and helpful in all ways and I felt obliged to thank them one more time by rating them with the 5-stars they deserve! The unpacking was also done efficiently and quickly and for about 5 hours, I had my 2-bedroom house moved and unloaded in my new place. I think that without this moving company I would be a complete mess, that is why I am happy to recommend them to anyone who reads this review and I wish you your moves go well too!

"Avoid at all costs."
Avoid at all costs.
Booked this removal company to move out at the end of my tenancy. All confirmed ok. Agreed with the company that to reduce costs, I would move my belongings from the 6th floor down to ground ready for the removal truck and only leave 3 items I could not move myself for the removal men to do.
Booked my removal for 2pm. At 2pm, they called to say they were running an hour late. At 3pm, they called again to say they could no longer do the job that day but offered an alternative of the next day - even though they knew I had to be out of the property and had moved an entire 1 bedroom flat from the 6th to the ground floor myself. So they left me without a van or any suitable help on the day of my move. Had they told me earlier in the day I could have arranged a suitable alternative.
The only thing I have got from them is a statement to say they "had to face unpredictable circumstances beyond our control".
Absolutely shocking service and I would advise avoiding them at all costs.
DO NOT USE!

"Joke movers, avoid like the plague"
Price was over double what Pickfords charged. They also sent me the wrong personal details and I suspect (although I have no proof) shared mine without permission, very disorganised with very, very poor attention to detail.
Use at your peril.

"Used to Be HandyMoves"
They've just rebranded their name from HandyMoves to Amazing Moves. Stay away away from them they are Cowboys. Only employ unskilled cheap labour from Bulgaria who can't speak English for the most part.

"A complete nightmare"
Using this company was a terrible choice. They were over 2 hours late, they did not quote for the move on the basis of the information provided and we ended up with a move that costed us more than double of what was originally quoted and took 13 hours. The workers kept complaining about how badly the company treats them and about how tired they were. When we requested compensation from the company, the manager was very defensive and accusative, refusing to get to reach any sort of understanding. I would not recommend this company.

"We have recently used this company for…moving"
We have recently used this company for a relatively small local move. Initially it seemed that everything was ok and the company were very flexible with the changing dates (we were completing and exchanging on the same day and the date was moved a couple of times resulting in us having to source a different removal company).
On the moving day things started to unravel.
Firstly damage was done to fixtures in the house that we were moving from, the story given by the removal team was that the question was asked whether we wanted to move the particular fixture. It was never asked.
Secondly, a lunch break of 10 minutes was claimed. It was over 30 minutes.
Thirdly, important fixings of equipment removed during the job were lost and again, the story was that they were given to someone on the day. They never were and we had to purchase like for like.
Finally, when the team left, they damaged (ran over) an expensive piece of equipment and initially refused to admit to doing it until they realised that there were at least 2 witnesses who were happy to provide statements.
When questioned they offered to forgo the normal 'excess' of £150 and and pay the limit of £40 (per item) adjusted by a 30 minute period they said they worked (that they hadn't) giving a total of £10 refund.
The T's & C's clearly state that they are within their right to limit damage to a £40 limit, however the total cost to us was some £250.
Added to this, on one occasion when a card payment being made didn't go through the first time as can occasionally happen, the manager on the phone threatened my wife with a CCJ and accused her of being 'disrespectful'. At this stage communication had been strained to breaking point.
In hindsight, we should never have used this company. They showed a complete disregard for personal property even though legally they are only obliged to pay up to a maximum of £40 for damage (which I understand is normal and can also be increased).
I feel that we definitely made a poor choice choosing them as a backup.
There site claims good testimonials and there may have been some
satisfied customers in the past, but our experience, especially of the customer services on the day was anything but.
