"Incredibly Poor design! "

I was sold a 'quality' sink and tap. The tap and fixing kit design didn't leave enough space for the tap nut to be tightened properly so the tap has never been tight on the worktop. The nut then corroded and is stuck on. Several plumbers have tried to remove it but because of the poor design on the tap and fixing kit it's extremely difficult to get any sort of tool onto the nut - to ether tighten it for installation, or to remove it once you realise how poor it is! Their service department did make some kind of effort to help (hence the one extra star), but all they could offer was a free fixing kit. If we ever get this tap off, the last thing I would do is the use the same fixing kit again. In fact I will never use anything Blanco again due to the trouble it has caused.

"I have a white silgranit blanco sink"

I have a white silgranit blanco sink, fitted 5 years ago. I would never buy one again. It's stained, chipped and high maintenance from the first use. Absolutely avoid these sinks especially in white.

"We were sold the "best " sink."

We were sold the "best " sink.
It started to chip, and stain. Sent pictures to them. No response.
Sent again, no response.
Contacted dealer and he was able to get the sink replaced.
It cost just under $1000 for labor to replace the sink.
Horrible!

"White Blanco ceramic/enamel sink"

Bought a white Blanco ceramic/enamel kitchen sink (via Wren) in Nov 2022. Within 8 months the sink started to develop several fine line cracks in the enamel.

Got in touch with Blanco Customer Services about this just before 1 year guarantee expired. Sent pictures and details and awaited reply. Blanco concluded that the sink was damaged by us, the customer, 'impact damaging it'. Therefore, no further action to be taken.

The reality. We have not knowingly dropped anything into this sink and were therefore not aware of the exact time the sick enamel started to crack. If we did damage it initially by putting plates or mugs into it, (we don't put or do pans in it, they go straight to dishwasher) then all I can say is that the sink is not durable and fit for purpose to serve as a main kitchen sink. It is rather delicate. There are real victorian white enamel kitchen sinks that have lasted over a century. I'm sure they have had much harsher treatment compared to whatever we gave this sink.

If we do replace it, it won't be with a Blanco. Will look for something more durable.

"excessive marking on Blanco Etagon SS sinks"

Within 1/2 a hour of using our etagon sink, scratches and marks appeared immediately. At this point I will not waste time going into the background phone calls relating to this issue. This sink was purchased as a steel brushed S/S sink with a satin finish. It turns out we have purchased a stainless steel brushed polished sink with a passivated satin finish coating. The passivated finish scratches very easily and when it is scratched it allows the polished finish of the steel beneath the surface coating to shine through against the dull satin finish. This is why the scratches appear so prominently. Blanco then tell us to carry on using the sink and it will build up patena. This is to take the place of the steel brushed finish we originally thought we were purchasing. Once the passivated coating has been scratched it no longer gives the extra protection from corrosion that Blanco state in their advertisement. This is possibly why in later years people have complained of holes appearing around the waste. I am of the opinion that the retailers have no idea of the way the sink is produced and what they are selling, hence peoples disappointment.
My other issues are the infinowaste trap, the holes in the trap are too long and too wide thus allowing excessive waste to pass through causing the plug not to seal and allowing your hot soapy water to disappear. If you look at the waste trap filter this is made of brushed stainless steel unlike the sink and underneath it shows a brushed polished finish that looks brighter than the satin finish. Also whilst owning this sink we had an emergency and left the tap running to answer the door and whilst unattended it overflowed very quickly due to the overflow being inadequate as the blanking plate with their logo on covers the majority of the overflow exit obstructing the flow of water. At this point I have probably said enough but I am extremely disappointed with this product and would not recommend it to anyone.
