I recently completed the Data Analytics with Python course offered by Winc, and I must say that my experience was quite disappointing. The course heavily relied on directing students to freely available videos and articles on the internet. Winc Academy's contribution seemed limited to providing a few videos and assignments. However, I found the videos to be unengaging, and some of them lacked any relevance to the rest of the course. It seemed as though they were included just for the sake of having additional content.
The assignments, on the other hand, were unnecessarily challenging. The questions were often cryptic, and the links to the source data frequently didn't work. Whenever I sought clarification, I was instructed to post my questions in a Slack channel, but there was no direct way of obtaining assistance. Overall, you will pay over 3000 euros for content that could easily be found for free on the internet, leading to a great deal of frustration.
To worsen my experience, customer service was dreadful. When I requested to cancel the course, they initially claimed not to have received my request. Then they acknowledged it but repeatedly asked me to explain what was wrong with the course. Later, they insisted that I hadn't canceled within the designated timeframe. Eventually, they admitted that I had canceled on time but suggested I consider their other courses and possibly switch. However, when I declined their offer and requested a refund, they made me wait for a considerable period before informing me that only half of the money would be refunded. They cited my request coming in late (contradicting their earlier claim) and the completion of one assignment (which was inevitable since they took nearly three months to respond) as reasons for the partial refund.
Dealing with such a lack of professionalism and poor customer service is truly disheartening.

voor mensen die geen tijd hebben om een les te volgen is dit ideaal. Alle cursussen zijn wel in het Engels dus basis engels is een must. Spijtig dat het nergens aangegeven is bij het inschrijven. Maar alles wijst zijn eigen uit! Mentors antwoorden ook altijd op uw vragen. Veel succes!

Je kan rustig studeren in je eigen tempo online vanuit huis of elders, geen druk van Winc. Geweldige hulp van mentors en medestudenten via Slack. + Goed lesmateriaal.

You can study quietly at your own pace online from home or elsewhere, no pressure from Winc. Great help from mentors and fellow students through Slack. + Good teaching material.

Goed te volgen. Deed dit naast mijn baan en vond het een leuke studie.

"Ik heb de front-end development…"

Ik heb de front-end development opleiding gevolgd bij Winc Academy. Voordat ik met de opleiding begon had ik aan de studieadviseur van Winc Academy gevraagd of de studie goed te volgen is naast een fulltime baan. Ze zeiden me dat dit prima te doen was het dat de opleiding maximaal het aantal uren zou duren dat er beschreven stond op de site.

Uiteindelijk duurde het langer (wat op zich geen probleem is). Er zijn veel opdrachten die je maakt om alles onder de knie te krijgen. Bij nader inzien heel logisch, maar ik had het wel prettig gevonden wanneer Winc Academy hier vanaf het begin af aan transparant in was geweest.

Ik heb de opleiding in maart dit jaar afgerond maar helaas nog geen certificaat per post ontvangen. In maart zeiden ze me dat het certificaat per post onderweg was. Nu is het mei en heb ik het certificaat per post nog steeds niet ontvangen.

Uiteindelijk heb ik in totaal drie mails naar Winc Academy gestuurd met de vraag waar het certificaat bleef. Omdat ze zeiden dat het was opgestuurd was ik bang dat het wellicht naar een verkeerd adres was gestuurd. Ze schreven immers in maart dat het certificaat onderweg was.

Na mijn derde mail kreeg ik het bericht dat ze gisteren het certificaat op de post hadden gedaan.

Uiteraard zijn er ook goede punten. De feedback op de opdrachten is erg duidelijk en je krijgt altijd tips mee om je code te verbeteren en uiteindelijk heb ik ook nieuwe vaardigheden geleerd en daar gaat het om.

Wel vind ik de afhandeling (de nazorg) na de opleiding erg jammer en daarom geef ik drie sterren in plaats van vier.

I recently studied Back-end Development by Winc, and it was a challenging yet fun experience. The exercises and assignments were creative and engaging, providing a great learning opportunity. The mentors were nice and helpful throughout the journey. Would recommended!

Now i feel like a follow up cours Ethical hacker is something that i wanne do or take more followup steps.
