"Problem sorted"

I am still waiting for my GP letter after 11 weeks. As a result my aplication for renewal of my shotgun certificate has been rejected and it looks like I will lose it. I have contacted Medcert on numerous occassions and been promised a call back from a 'member of the team'. so far this has not happened. Useless, a complete waste of time.
Update:
Well the above did the trick. Medcert contacted me and let me know that it was my GP who had not returned the data. It would have been better if Medcert had let me know this. In the end they chased my GP and the letter appeared fairly quickly (although not forwarded to the Firearms Unit as promised). Fortunately the Firearms Unit were reasonably lenient so all is well in the end.

Very happy customer. I am a retired Firearms Enquiry Officer and used Medcert recently because my GP refused to do a medical letter for my renewal application. The cost of £50 (less £5 for being a member of the CPSA) I presume same for BASC members is very reasonable, knowing what some GP surgery's charge. If and when I contacted Medcert staff for an update no problem and very professional. Your report can either be returned direct to you or mailed straight to the police force firearms department. Medcert even returned it using registered delivery. So would definitely recommend the service.
