"First class customer service."

A great company to deal with, I had an issues which was caused by myself and when I emailed in to explain everything, I was put in contact with a person called Lisa who listened and sorted out my issues which resulted in a new part issued to me FOC .

First class customer service which matches their great products.

"Very helpful people!"

Very helpful Receptionist took my phone call, and I received a full reply from the Technician in answer to my email about an Eterna outdoor lighting unit which developed a fault after working well for the last 10 years.

"Poor customer service, Faulty from new fittings"

Faulty from new fittings, told they no longer make them! returned for repair as requested, cannot help or know what the problems is, sent back to me. Then no reply from Eterna, we used to trust this brand have used dozens of Eterna products. Claim LED lights have a life of 25,000 hours, when you get 1, yes one hour! they are not interested. Avoid companies with poor customer service

"Replace whole fitting instead of bulb"

The light fitting in my bathroom went. Some sort of complicated board thing inside, no bulb. Called Eterna who made it, they say whole fitting needs replacing. Offered to sell me one. Must think I was born yesterday.

"Don't buy from Eterna, they refuse to supply consumables"

One kitchen under-cabinet LED light failed in just 4 years and incredibly they tell me it's now discontinued and replaced by a new product with slightly differently shaped link plugs so that I have to replace the whole system throughout the kitchen at a cost of about £200. How is this even legal?!? Aren't consumables supposed to be available for e certain number of years?

"TO AVOID"

Bought (from TLC) a light fitting with shaver socket, after four months I took the plug out of the shaver socket and it would not go back in (the works inside would not grip the plug, the top half of the plug hung out). Rung Eterna up, was told it was my fault for using the socket for a Waterpik flosser rather than for a shaver, Eterna wont supply spare parts, item cant be taken apart. It was obvious from the way they batted me away that I was not the first person to have this problem with their product. (TLC gave me a refund on the item, but I am not an electrician and will have to pay the cost of installing a different shaver light.)

Spoke to Lisa @ Eterna about a discontinued item that i owned that has just gone out of warranty. She provided an alternative that is perfect for what i need. Very happy with the service.

"Failed after 3 months - won't honour 5 year guarantee"

I bought a shaver light in June this year, after 3 months the on/off switch started to fail (the light and socket both often just flickering instead of coming on), after 4 months the switch failed completely. I initially contacted the company via their website contact form and had no response whatsoever so I phoned their office on their sales line and told them what the fault was and that, as a qualified electrician, I was able to change the switch myself if they posted one out. I was told that I had to send an email to their enquiries email address explaining the fault and to attach a copy of my receipt (which I did). This too was totally ignored.
I eventually bought a replacement switch from Ebay (£2) and fitted it myself.
So for the sake of a £2 (retail price inc. postage) switch they have lost a customer and gained another 1* review here.
