"Fabulous snowman trek with Firefox Tours"

We did a 30-day trip with Firefox Tours in Oct-Nov 2024 - the Snowman Trek for 24 days to Bumthang, with cultural sightseeing before and afterwards. The trip exceeded our expectations in every aspect - the scenery, people, culture, food and accommodation. The trek was timed to coincide with the first day of the Royal Highlander Festival in Laya, which was one of the trip highlights. We were also lucky with generally good weather in between the summer rains and the winter snows, so enjoyed great views of the highest peaks in Bhutan during the trek.

All arrangements were impeccable, very professional and on time, right from our first communications with Michal. The trekking crew (Kinley, Thinley and Dorjie) provided tasty, varied and plentiful food, and made the trek as comfortable as possible. We really appreciated Sonam, our guide, who was not only highly experienced in trekking, but enriched our trip with his deep knowledge of the birds, nature and culture of Bhutan. I had the best experience with Firefox Tours!
Since the beginning, Michal was very very flexible, attentive and made his best to make sure our tight schedule fit everything we wanted to do. The overnight in Dodedrak Monastery was an unique experience and the highlight of my trip!
I couldnt recommed my guide, Dawa Wangye, enough! She is an outstanding person, knew everything, what incresed our knowleadge and interest for the country, and could also sort anything out easily. Wish we had more time together, but will definetely go back to Bhutan to make other tours with her.
Last, but not least, our driver Coma drove us safely, was super kind and helpful.
Thank you all for the best 5 days we've ever had visiting a country.

"Excellent experience"

We spent 15 days in Bhutan with Firefox Tours Bhutan. Our program was mostly trekking. Everything was excellent from communication before we came to Bhutan through whole program in Bhutan. Whole the team did super job during trek and always with smile. Also our guide Dawa was very supportive. One of us had serious health problem during the trek and Firefox was able to organize quick transfer from the trek to hospital and helped also during hospital stay. We met at the end of trek all together successfully and continue with the rest of our program.
Despite this problem we had a wonderful holiday !!

"Bhutan; incredible country & superb tour company"

We recently traveled with my wife to Bhutan on a 7-day tour organized by Firefox Tours. This was an amazing trip, incredibly well-organized with their main office keeping us informed throughout the many months between our initial reservation and our arrival to Paro. Everything that was promised was delivered and more. The gem of the tour was no doubt Nidup, our personal guide, that passionately walked us through Bhutan's incredible historical and cultural background and patiently and warmingly engaged with us on the buddhist background that characterizes this incredibly interesting country. The tour included our personal driver (On) who very proficiently drove us around the country, from Paro to Thimphu and then to Gantgey Valley and back while we engaged in very interesting conversations with Nidup on Bhutan and daily life in this unique country. I can only highly recommend Firefox Tours for everything Bhutan-related. Simply put they did a wonderful job. So much so that we cannot find any suggestions on what we would like to see improved or what we would have done differently. Congrats and thank you Firefox. Very well done!

"Jomolhari Trekking in Bhutan"

Firefox Tours arranged a first-rate trip to the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan for us in March 2024. Michal did a fantastic job of planning our trekking and activities to suit our interests, and our guide Sonam offered a wonderful window into Bhutanese culture, traditions, and sites of historical and religious significance. Trekking here is a little different than in other parts of the Himalayas, with a rare sense of wildness and adventure that comes highly recommended. Thanks to the unflagging efforts of our trekking crew (Dorji, Sonam, and Tsering), we were able to reach Jomolhari Base Camp (Jangothang) and enjoy an unforgettable hike in the mountains.

Firefox Tours organised our 8 night/9 day tour of Bhutan. We went on their Gems of Western Bhutan program. Our guide Nidup was so nice, very professional, knowledgeable and great company. Our driver Ashok did a great job of navigating the windy roads and we always felt safe. Michal organised the trip and was super communicative. Great hotels, particularly Dhumra Farm Resort in Punakha with wonderful food and service. Bhutan is absolutely beautiful - the Punakha festival was a real highlight. If you get the opportunity to visit then jump at it. THANK YOU

"A trip to Bhutan with Firefox - the greatest experience"

The Short version:
We went on a tour with Firefox Tours in Bhutan in May 2019, took a program for four nights. The reality was high above our expectations! Everything was perfect. All the members of the firefoxtours team were so professional, friendly and helpful. The trip went really well, and I totally recommend this agency if you are planning your trip to Bhutan.

The long version:
As the only way to get to Bhutan is via a travel agency, we’ve surfed the internet and randomly found Firefox Tours. I texted them, and Michael got in touch with me. He sent the description of the program, prices, terms, etc. There were few reviews about this company, so we were rather nervous about sending the prepayment and about how everything would be. So we’ve made a prepayment around 4-5 months in advance. There were some problems with the bank (it turned out actually to be a problem on the side of our bank as they first sent the money through the wrong correspondence bank), but Michael was always in touch and helped to deal with the bank. Finally, the funds reached the account.
So after a few months we finally started our trip. We had a direct flight from Moscow to Dheli on Aeroflot and then supposed to take a flight to Paro. The second flight was booked via Firefox.
On the day of the departure it turned out that Aeroflot had changed the route (because of the war in Pakistan) and hence the timing of the flight, so instead of ~5 hours the flight took ~7, and instead of having 3,5 hours to make the transfer we had only around 1-1,5. We were missing our flight to Bhutan! Aeroflot just didn’t inform anyone about this, so many people knew this only when we already were in the air.
We learned it a few hours before the flight, so I’ve called Michael. He replied right away, got in touch via WhatsApp, asked not to panic and started to offer the options. So there were no other flights the same day, and there were no seats available the next day for 2 of us either. I was scared that my dream to get to Bhutan will disappear!!! But Michael was so helpful!!! He said not to panic and found the best solution for us.
So, though we ran as fast as we could, we’ve been waiting for the luggage for too long, and when we came to the counter of Drukair, it was already closed. We had had passed the online registration and had the boarding passes printed, but it turned out that they are not valid without authorization from the registration counter and you must be there no later than 1 hour before departure. We were late, maybe 5-10 minutes but late and they didn’t allow us to check in. Some people from our flight were actually lucky, and they let them in, but not us. But what to do!
Michael suggested a great option. We bought another ticket to the Indian town called Bagdogra (the flight was just in about 1,5 hours), took a taxi from there to the border (around 3,5-4 hours) where our guide was waiting for us with the driver. So they met us, helped to pass the border and took us to the hotel (the way from the border took around 3,5-4 hours also)
We arrived to Bhutan same day as planned, much later but still, very tired but so happy!
The next days went great. We had a thoroughly planned excursion in a few towns, visited all the main places of interest and made a couple of short treks. We didn’t miss anything from the program even though we came later: Firefox made all the necessary changes in terms of timing. The guide called Dawa was awesome! Such a nice person and a very professional guide, speaking fluent English.
I won’t tell all the details about the trip, in order not to spoil, but it was definitely one of the best in my life! Bhutan is amazing, and thanks to Firefox and its team our dream came true. The tour was full of wonderful and remarkable moments. I’m so thankful to Michael, Dawa (the guide), Dawa (the owner) and to the driver (sorry I forgot the name), and I really recommend this travel agency to everyone who is planning their trip to Bhutan!!!
