"Nissan Quashqai 1.5NEC DCI blocked DPF"

Nissan Quashqai 1.5NEC DCI ground to a halt quite suddenly having displayed the engine management light earlier in journey. Car got towed home so unable to drive it to a garage. Mobile diagnostician said DPF filter was blocked and was worst he had ever seen.
Contacted DPF fixers, arranged time and part payment. They arrived on time. Andros and his technician had there work cut out, but clearly had the experience, and although it nearly beat them they eventually cracked it, although they had several jobs still to complete that evening and it would have been easy to take short cuts they went thoroughly through each process until the car was back ti its correct condition.
Diagnostician returned next day to replace broken plastic air inlet manifold caused by blocked filter and was highly complementary of the work carried out. Car ran beautifully afterwards.

Engineer damaged car.
Engineer admitted his fault in writing.
Engineer stated in writing they would cover cost of repairs.
DPF never replied to email complaint
DPF eventually made contact and accepted responsibility and arranged part and engineer to fit.
DPF now cancelled part and engineer on the grounds that any damage they cause will not be their responsibility as per their terms and conditions. That is their get out.
