"Dissapointed"

I bought 3 of your coconut shampoo bars. I am really disappointed with them. They are crumbly and impossible to get out of the tin without breaking up. They don't lather up very well either.

"Don't waste your money unless you like greasy hair!"

Terrible product! My wife and I used it and ended up washing our hair twice to remove the grease! Leave your hair greasy and lank… there are much better bar shampoos out there!

Also, be carefull signing up to the emails… here is what the site says…

"Disappointed!"

I would not recommend the shampoo bar or the conditioner to anyone. It left my hair feeling very greasy. I had to wash my hair twice with ordinary shampoo to get it out and I have been using other bar soaps for over a year so it is not like my hair isn't used to it! Very disappointed.

"Load of rubbish"

Bought a shampoo bar, conditioner bar and deodorant from them and disappointed with all 3. The deodorant doesn’t help with perspiration and smells funny after a couple of hours.

Contacted them about how the shampoo and conditioner left my hair waxy and had to wash my hair 3 times with normal shampoo to get it somewhat normal - leaving my hair really dry and washed out a lot of my colour. They send me an article about some transition period which I find hard to believe anyone would want to walk around with waxy hair for 7 weeks until it gets used to it. I have used natural shampoo bars before and never had this..
refused to give me a refund for products which ruined my hair and I will never use again. Offered my £1 off my next order which is completely useless for a company I will never be using again.

Small friendly business who sell a range of products. I ordered online and handpicked my own gift box.

I love their packaging and they have a really nice looking website with an interesting blog that lets you see the real people behind the organisation and makes you feel happy to support a small business (+ local for me).

I have had the soaps (which smell amazing), the deodorant in a tin (which I found to be more effective than my roll on deodorant although it seemed to make my underarm skin slightly temporarily darker), the bath bombs (which are the only thing that came in plastic packaging), and the soap dish and sisal soap bag (both work great). I hope to try out more products in the future and hopefully check out the shop in person after COVID!

I bought there shampoo bar, conditioner and body soap. I do not recommend at all their shampoo bar is the worst. It leave my hair waxy and greasy. I already use natural shampoo bars. so the idea that my hair needs to adjust is a gimmick I feel this company is leaning on far too much. Any company that emails you and recommend you wash your hair with bicarbonate of soda and vinegar avoid. why would anyone buy a lemongrass shampoo bar and then want to wash the smell out with vinegar. I certainly don't want to smell like my local chippy. There body soap is meh 😐😕 definitely not worth the price tag! I can't really review the conditioner cos there shampoo bar is so bad.

Being truly tried of the 'big companies' attitude during the past year of lock down (they have shown themselves to be truly awful) I had made it a personal mission to see if I can't get better products with better service from small companies.

With the Cosy Cottage Soap company I've found another hidden gem!

I was after men's shaving soap. I ordered via the website and received my order the very next morning via 1st class post, Well Done!

The soap, (which I pressed into service immediately), has a definite, but actually subtle fragrance. It lathers exceedingly well and allows the razor to glide leading to a smooth and soft skinned shave. I felt no need to apply an aftershave oil.

My product seemed genuinely handmade, and the ingredients seemed as natural as you can make them.

Will be adding this company to my list of go-to businesses for personal grooming.

I even got a real person when I called them on the telephone to offer my appreciation!

Just about to place my new order for more products.
