I can't fault the company. They've been great from start to finish. Even if there are small delays their communications are good and transparent, so I feel up to date with what's happening. They helped us to design our small garden cabin, offering us advice as we went. They were flexible and willing to make changes when needed. The guys who did the work worked like daemons in the coldest of Januarys, arriving at 8 am every day with temperatures as low as -6. I'm very happy with the cabin and have recommended Yourextraspace to at two other friends who are considering a garden cabin.

We wanted a beautiful garden room, but we didn’t want the stress or the risk of shoddy workmanship or a never-ending project….and Your Extra Space delivered in spades ! The build finishes were fantastic and the whole experience was a dream from start to finish. Monika set up a WhatsApp group to coordinate the work and kept us informed at all times. The ground-works team arrived early and the concrete slab was down and finished the next day. The structural team arrived again early and within a couple of days the walls were up. We soon found that the work rate stayed high when we kept the teams supplied with hot drinks and snacks, Peter…you know who you are…!
When the roof went on and the cladding was added, we began to see our dreams realised. If you want true value-for-money without compromise on quality, Your Extra Space can’t be beaten. Happy to recommend.

Make sure you choose Your Extra Space for your summer house / office / garden room. They are so easy to deal with from the initial meeting with Michael and Martin to design and cost the project through to the tradesmen that carry out the work. Once you start the whole thing is project managed (thanks Monika) and I knew every day who was coming and when and what they planned to do that day. We had a large composite summer house built and they even knocked down and removed the old one for me. They have unbelievably hard working teams that were there from 8am to 6pm every day including weekends (if wanted) and this meant the whole job was done on time and to a very high standard. It was a total pleasure to work with the whole team and I thoroughly recommend everyone to meet them at one of the garden centres and get a quote. I spoke to around 8 different companies before selecting Your Extra Space and they were competitive on price and hugely flexible on every part of the project as I made some changes to design and size as we went along. Nothing is too much trouble and they finished the building to a high standard and sorted any snagging out after completion. Truly a 5* experience and worth the money.

"After a promising beginning"

After a promising beginning, we are finally nearing the completion of our project. It has been a stressful and chaotic journey, but I am relieved that we are about to conclude this endeavor once and for all.

Here are my thoughts: The initial phase of the project commenced very well, particularly with regards to the foundation and building structure. I had the privilege of working with an exceptional team of professionals who demonstrated remarkable speed and efficiency.

However, challenges arose during the second phase of the project. We experienced a lack of communication from the project manager for an extended period of approximately two weeks. When we finally managed to gain some momentum, the team assigned to my project caused significant concern. The quality of their workmanship fell short of acceptable standards, particularly in the plumbing and carpeting aspects, while the electrical work was commendable.
I would have given Your Extra Space a 4 star review but I can't ignore the fact that my stress levels over a period of 13 weeks where extremely high but also the lack of clarity and support specially with concerns I raised regarding the quality of the work being ignored and as result of that remedial work needed to be done to fix those mistakes, could have been avoided if proper project management and communication had been in place throughout the project.

Your Extra Space built an amazing garden room, 5m x 3.5m, with a stunning 'living roof', folding doors, extended decking and aircon... all for much less than all of their competitors but without faulting on the quality. The team was on-site six days a week through almost any weather, very tidy and respectful of the property, and friendly (offering solutions to any issues found during the process without bother).

I found they needed a little nudge now and then to communicate more, but this didn't affect the final result at all. Since completion months ago, we had a minor issue with a door which had dropped slightly and was 'catching' on the frame when opening, which was fixed within a week... again, without any drama.
