While I have often been frustrated by the support from big companies using advanced tech to filter, screen and answer enquiries, my experience of Catalyst2 is that there are real people there who know their business and respond as quickly and efficiently as they can to help their customers.

I own a few 'archive' websites which are hosted by catalyst2. I am not an IT person at all, and don't employ anyone who is.
Even though I never change the contents of these websites, every few weeks one or more of them need some expert IT intervention. This is usually due to an automated request to do something that I don't understand, but sometimes the websites have 'gone down' because I can't keep them up to date with the ever-changing requirements of the Internet.
The team at catalyst2 have always sorted such things out for me in double-quick time, in stark contrast to my previous hosting company!
And they are friendly with it!
I am very happy to give them a 100% score.

We have been with catalyst2 for 8 years now with 2 PowerXtra accounts, 1 Linux and 1 Windows the former running a busy forum. Support is excellent and very responsive. Server and database reliability, uptime and performance is very good. There is the occasional issue but these are rare and dealt with quickly. Costs are very reasonable for what you get (yes Fasthosts etc are cheaper but you get what you pay for!). I highly recommend catalyst2, their ratings are well deserved.
