"Our lovely new Bathroom"

After a quote from a local company that was very bad, i asked Bamfords to come out to our small cottage. Rob Bamford and his project manager Paul came out. We told them what we wanted and they were very professional in the advice and their recommendations. Rob and my partner and I went to a local showroom to discuss what we wanted and with Emily from Quality Bathrooms we got what we invisaged. A date was then set for the work to be done.
Nigel the plumber was brilliant, respected that my partner worked from home and was very considerate, especially as our cottage is on the small side. When the tiler Jay came in he was also very professional and did an amazing job, including making us bespoke shelves from the tiles.
Our bathroom now looks amazing we also had a new water system fit to last the next 20 years...all in all I recommend this company highly. From start to finish Bamfords have been patient and understanding with us and we have no hesitation in having them do more work for us next year.

"Excellent Company"

The background to this review is that for several years I had a contract with a national provider for Electrical and Plumbing cover in case of breakdown or emergency. After several bad experiences I took the decision to cancel the contract and look for an alternative. I was looking for a company that could provide both plumbing and electrical work and that could be relied on to deliver a good service.
Now after almost a year and the need to call upon Bamfords on a number of occasions I feel able to write this review. Over the past year I have had several toilets go wrong, a leaking overflow, shower pump stop working and some minor electrical issues.
On each occasion they have responded in a totally professional manner from the time of making the phone call to the time an engineer has arrived to my house. Several times I have called and said that I needed a plumber urgently and without fail an engineer has appeared within 20 -30 minutes.
Although all the staff I have had dealings with have been excellent, I feel I especially need to mention Becky who has had to deal with a rather tense customer at times on the phone because something has gone wrong and each time she has called back to assure me somebody is on the way, excellent communication which really is what you need when you have an urgent requirement. Rob, who came to quote for a replacement shower pump and I didn't realise that he was Rob Bamford until he explained and now on several occasions has visited to look at various issues and given me confidence in the business and finally Nigel (plumber) who did an excellent job on my shower pump installation and when there were some minor issues could not have been more helpful in keeping in contact, working through the problem and sorting it out.
To sum up, I was looking for a company to carry out electrical and plumbing work that I could have confidence in for routine work and in case of emergency. I have found it.

"Friendly & hardworking"

Upon moving into our new house, we noticed things weren’t 100% with our boiler. We called for Bamfords, who straight away we’re very accommodating and had us seen as soon as possible. After a look around etc our boiler was deemed dangerous and was condemned there and then. They were fab at getting a new boiler fitted as soon as. Very friendly staff who worked very hard to get this done.

"Zero stars would be accurate."

If zero stars were possible then this would be accurate.
An inadequate survey of my home resulted in a boiler that was unable to cope with size of my house.
During installation my carpet was damaged.
They removed dust sheets I laid and placed film over carpet.
This become torn and sludge and grime was walked in.
A crude attempt to clean was made with a tub of grime wipes.
A light fitting, a door vent and radiator valves were damaged.
They opened loft hatch with either a screwdriver or similar causing damage.
They made no attempt to respect my home.
They poured sludge into toilet not bothering to flush.
They left hallway radiator leaking after using it to drain.
Without talking to me placed a room thermostat on wall causing damage.
When challenged they walked out and refused to return until the other 50% was paid.
Trading standards advice was to get quote to fix damages.
It was only then I had the news the boiler was unfit for purpose, we had just thought the job was unfinished.
Had to go elsewhere and start over.

"New kitchen"

We have just had a new kitchen fitted and are delighted with the result. It was worth everything to have a firm who planned and carried out all the installation and who kept us informed who would be coming each day and what time they would be arriving. All Bamford's employees worked in a professional way and tidied up each day, which was a real bonus. The office staff were extremely helpful and dealt promptly with any queries. We would definitely recommend them. Thank you for our lovely new kitchen!

"Bamfords did a great job"

Bamfords did a great job removing our old back boiler and installing a new combi. Very quick, professional and tidy. Brilliant communication from the girls in the office too. Will definitely be recomending to our friends.
