"My experience of Chemdry was awful"

My experience of Chemdry was awful. They consistently omitted communicating vital parts of the process, they missed appointments, call backs, never booked in visits arriving on a whim with 30 mins notice and handled my project on a hope and a prayer. Their approach is messy, incoherent, inconsistent and chaotic. All I received in return was a call by complaints to say something on the lines that my experience sounds terrible but nothing in terms of something I can use. In fact, the call back from the complaints person was also not at the agreed time and late! Says it all really...

I had a front room fire and they came and took all my items away including 2 i7 pc and muti screens and loads of my electrical equipment as I was a gaming guy I was expecting them to give me a good quote on my equipment however it was so low the insurance offered me only £2,600 for the lot I was disgusted I priced all the loss my self at £7.500 minimum and chem-dry where supposed to ring me a and failed to do so.

Chemdry Harrogate were exceptionally helpful and professional. I‘d spilled some tea on a new (chenille) sofa so I knew that was trouble and would need more attention than I could provide. Josh the manager and Holly in the office were lovely and they fitted in a call the following day, not promising total removal on the stain though, which I accepted. I also booked for protection of both sofas at the same time. Liam came next day and was fantastic; thorough, professional, hygienic and just a nice young man. Not only this but he removed the stain entirely. Highly recommended. It was a 20% off deal too!

Had chem dry to do my furniture and carpet! I would highly reccommend this company from Harrogate. A lovely young man Liam was very thorough and proffesional, definitely worth it to get them cleaned this way.

"I had a serious roof fire on Sept 2010"

I had a serious roof fire on Sept 2010. My insurance accessor appointed ChemDry to empty my house of all belongings, furniture and fittings. When it came time to return these belongings there were certain items missing. I had to ask for these because they were moved 'elsewhere'. One of these was a valuable painting valued at £700:00. I finally was sent this painting.
Also missing were a pair of Chinese vases bought pre 1939 and a chiming wall clock. I never did get these back. Also valuable Beatles memorbilia and vinyl records were never returned.
I would never recommend this company because their thieving practices.
I would advise anyone who needs to empty their property after flooding to watch a reputable company pack up their belongings and to put them in a local self storge facilty and to give you the key.

"After becoming one of the victims of…"

After becoming one of the victims of the flood that hit Fishlake in November 2019, the one thing I was looking for was someone to help me get my bungalow in order.

The Loss Adjuster appointed ChemDry and I thank him for that.

Bev Sykes, responsible for co-ordinating the activities of both direct employees and sub contractors who visited my home, immediately reassured me.

Nothing has been too much trouble for Bev and she seems to be permanently on duty and always available. She has proved herself to be both efficient and responsive and has a lovely, friendly and approachable manner. She is also clearly adept at multi-tasking and has an excellent memory for detail.

Two particular employees of note were sent to assist me: Jack Gibson and Chris McGowan. These young men have worked tirelessly and efficiently and I have been particularly heart warmed by their caring and delightful manner. They are sensible, diligent and kind, both having shown the utmost care and consideration at a time when things could have been very stressful for me.

Having spoken with some of my neighbours who are using other contractors, I have discovered that ChemDry are not just good at what they do; they in fact far exceed the norm.

I would like to extend my thanks to ChemDry and congratulate the company for being wise enough to employ Bev, Jack and Chris.

So rude on the phone after five day delay before they called me back and suggested my phone was broken as they had tried to call a whole day earlier! This alone was enough to put me off-they really need to sort out their customer service...

Waiting for a response from. HO. Regarding the poor cleaning I received. I am trying to find a recommended professional carpet cleaning company to clean my carpet successfully. Shall I photo the unremoved stains ? Where can I post them ? Sidonie. Had response.chemdry sent a young man with spray and spatula. I now have yellow stains on my pale grey blue 100 percent wool carpet and a vac full of carpet fibre. They have sent a cheque returning my account. What can I do? Help
