"sizing problem"

I recently bought a pair of brown Downey, size 45 from a shop in Jermyn St, London. They have proved to be rather too big. I have just taken delivery of 2 pairs of Downey, one brown and one black, in the recent sale. They are size 44. Both pairs are too small! I normally take a 43, 9.5. A bit disappointing but may have to persevere.
