"Passed my test"

I don’t do reviews but after the experience I have had I couldn’t hold it in, I called with just over a month left of my cbt as I wanted to do my full test, somehow they managed to get all the training and tests booked in, during my training I had 4 different instructors and I’m happy to say they were all top class, every step of the way giving pointers and advice to take my riding to the next level.

I’m happy to say I passed 1st time and would happily recommend them to anyone who wants to pass or even just get some experience on a motorbike, it’s honestly been a pleasure, thank you.

"Failed my test 25 years ago (let’s not…"

Failed my test 25 years ago (let’s not go there) and it been niggling me ever since. Bumped into the school friend I did it with back then who also failed, he said he had done it again and passed. That was it!
I had to tick that box and pass or I would have regretted it when I’m dribbling in an old folks home.
I found RJH who are local to do my CBT in Wigan. Tony was the instructor that day and he instilled all the basics which were communicated across absolutely brilliantly.
Once I had the CBT under my belt I got the itch to press on.
That’s when I met “Big G” Graham. He was a grumpy bugger the first time we met but that grumpiness soon mellowed. Big G is first class. Always in your ear when your out on the road but I wouldn’t have had it any other way, he got me over the line to pass my A2. As I wanted to pass as soon as I could i travelled to any of the training schools and always bumped into Big G. If you follow what these guys say you will pass.
I don’t do reviews but had to this after passing first time every test I did.
RJH just keep doing what your doing guys. Big thanks to Big G for his guidance along the way.

"Very professional & very effective."

Having signed up for the Intermediate DAS course with RJH in July, I trained with John and Tim at Chorley and Scott at Northwich. All three were extremely effective trainers. I passed my Mod 1 on 17th July and my Mod 2 on 16th August – second attempt, ‘cos I made a couple of schoolboy errors on the first one! I cannot speak highly enough of RJH. Everyone I met there was friendly, efficient and clearly very knowledgeable. Having done some training elsewhere, I’d say that IMO, they’re head and shoulders above the norm. Worth every penny.

Thanks to the Team at RJH Manchester for their training, advice, guidance and patience. Passed my MOD1 and MOD 2 first time. Relaxed training atmosphere but professional at the same time.

"Disappointing experience"

Took my CBT with RJH a few weeks back now. The day seemed to be going relatively well. We then got to the Road ride portion. The radios seemed to struggle at points, which resulted in the guy in front of me (another person taking his CBT) going down the wrong road. This seemed to really anger the instructor. Anyway, we did a U turn and continued on the road. I unfortunately had a few moments of stalling (rush hour traffic in Wigan - not the best time for it to happen). We then headed towards Bolton. Upon coming to some Single speed bumps (one either side of the road), and both of us going over them - the instructor once again flipped and told us we had failed! However, the ride continued. We called in at a McDonald's for a coffee and I asked why there was an issue with the speed bumps (after now avoiding all the subsequent ones), and was told that it could cause problems. Fair enough, but seemed an overreaction. As the ride was continuing, I figured the 'You've failed' comment was said in frustration. We then headed back, with me taking the lead. Everything went great, no issues, praised on mirror checks and lifesavers. Thought it was all good. We then got back to the centre, to be told that a further 3 hours training would be needed. Disappointed, but figured the instructors knew best. I rang RJH the next day, to be told no feedback had been given, other than 3 hours needed! Was then told this would be at a cost of £120, with no availability until the second week of August. I really wasn't happy with this, but was told that I had signed to say I agreed, and 'that was that'. I didn't have my card, so would need to call back. After I hung up, I contacted a few other centres, to be told none of this seemed right - as stalling was no reason to 'fail' (even though its not a test!). I ended up paying for a full day's CBT at another centre a week later, and got through with flying colours. Paying £120 after already paying £200 seems a bit of mick take if we're being honest. Oh, and my second CBT was much cheaper!

"Top tier tuition and so much fun-couldn’t recommend enough"

100% would recommend, as a woman the experience can be quite daunting to start. But these guys were kind, friendly and so knowledgable. I felt at ease instantly and with their help passed the course whilst having fun.

"CBT instructor Mike (Wigan) excellent, call centre not so good"

Did my cbt yesterday with Mike at the Wigan branch and he was fantastic, clear and concise with his instructions and never repeated himself, I past my cbt no problem. He gets 5 stars!
Now the reason I’m giving RJH 1 star is because when I spoke to their call centre and I asked if it was possible to do my test without lessons, as all I’ll be riding is my Vespa, 125cc automatic and will never want to ride a bigger bike. Thus could I go straight to book my theory and mod 1/2 test, or do I need lessons, they hung up on me (and didn’t answer when I called back) when they realised that they might not be getting anymore money from me. I was only asking for some advice, nothing was set in stone. Not the best service.
