"Great service, great kitchen"

After 12 years we decided we needed to replace our old kitchen and we spend several weeks visiting showrooms around York trying to decide not only what kitchen style we wanted, but who we felt we could trust to fit our kitchen. York Kitchens was recommended to us by friends and we were delighted from the start with the level of service from Gareth helping us to design the right kitchen for us. He helped keep us within budget but also recommended some great features and design that we felt would make the kitchen special.
What we also liked about York Kitchens was they sorted everything out and we didn’t need to worry about finding a builder to fit the kitchen. For us this was important as we didn’t want the extra hassle of multiple trades to arrange.
It took around 4 weeks in total for the installation and we are so happy with the finished work. Chris the fitter was excellent and we were so pleased with his work. He also helped us refine some ideas during the installation to make it even better. I’m sure their other fitters are great, but if you get a chance ask for Chris!
Overall really pleased with our kitchen and with York Kitchens. Highly recommend.

"Our Dream Kitchen"

We have recently had a kitchen renovation completed by York Kitchens and Interiors. It included the initial design, building/plumbing work and a full kitchen installation with all new electrical items purchased through them.

We had previously looked at a well-known kitchen company and a bespoke local firm neither of which could match the excellent customer service, design expertise, product quality and value for money that York Kitchens and Interiors offered.

In the design phase Gareth listened to our initial thoughts on the layout. He suggested options based on his vast experience and product knowledge. We changed our minds a couple of times on worktops, unit colours and handles. Gareth and Chloe were always on hand to help with our decisions, nothing was too much trouble for them.

The building work went to plan and moving the doorway was the best decision as the kitchen looks so much bigger and we have way more kitchen units. What was 2 rooms now feels like 1 with the kitchen/dining area now having a much better flow and we no longer have an under used dining room.

Our kitchen was fitted by Shaun who was an absolute star throughout the whole installation. His workmanship was exceptional. He also ensured that I was not without a kitchen sink which was a godsend with only having 1 bathroom and he made us a bespoke kitchen unit to box in our boiler.

We are over the moon with the finished product and would highly recommend York Kitchens and Interiors to anyone looking to renovate their kitchen. They provide an end-to-end service which takes the stress out of the whole process for the customer.

Our next project is to convert the hallway into our kitchen into a Boot Room which I will be using York Kitchens and Interiors again to do.

We wanted our new kitchen to be provided by a local supplier where we could talk to the designer and take advantage of his advice and experience. Gareth fitted the bill admirably. York Kitchens took control of the whole project from start to finish, organising and monitoring fitters, plumbers, electricians, plasterers all of whom were excellent, good humoured and turned up on time !! Nothing was too much trouble to our fitter Chris. We are absolutely delighted with the finished kitchen and would recommend York Kitchens without hesitation for quality of the product and design, and service of the installation.

We had a fantastic experience working with York Kitchens when we needed a new kitchen following an extension. We had looked at local hand crafted kitchens, the usual high street kitchen brands as well as DIY options. York Kitchens stood out from them all. Their expertise and attention to detail truly exceeded our expectations.

We already had a good idea of the layout we wanted but Gareth suggested tweaks which we had asked others about and been told wouldn’t be possible. He also suggested a design feature that neither we nor other companies has thought of. It was ultimately what made York Kitchens stand out from the other companies we had considered.

We were even more pleasantly surprised by their quote when considering the quality of their kitchens and materials. Every steps of the process was handled with professionalism and care and they completed the project in a timely manner.

"Couldn't be happier"

Couldn't be happier with our kitchen and little loo. Everything from the initial visit to the end result was great. There were a few problems along the way but the team were excellent, no drama or fuss.
Special mention to Neil and Chris, they are a great team and we really valued their attention to detail, little things make a big difference.
The aftersales service they provide is really reassuring, nothing is too much bother even if it is an hour's drive!

"Fitted and refurbishment - excellent service throughout"

We first used York Kitchens in February 2016 when they fitted a full kitchen and range of appliances for us and did an excellent job. Over seven years later, we wanted a change and decided to replace our worktop, sink and hob and asked them to undertake the work in August 2023.
From start to finish on both jobs, their approach was professional and polite and nothing was too much trouble. Very easy to deal with and, most importantly, their after sales care has been truly oustanding.
I would definitely recommend them.

We had our Kitchen and Utility redesigned and installed by York Kitchens.
The planning process was made a lot easier by the helpful and knowledgeable staff at York Kitchens. They quickly understood our needs, making good suggestions as to how thesecould be achieved. They produced sensible and comprehensive plans that needed little alteration before being finalised.
The actual installation went really well. The installers were professional, friendly and very competant. We were kept fully informed with progress, the plans for the next few days and also advised of when they would not be around and the reasons for this (i.e. letting things dry or giving plasterers space to work, etc.).
We were also advised of any issues or problems, that arose during the installation and their resolution was fully discussed with us.
Overall we have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone seeking to re-model or update their kitchen.
