" suspension compressor pump…"

I ordered a suspension compressor pump that I needed for my Discovery. I ordered at 3pm and e-mailed to let them know it was urgent. 15mins later an e-mail from FedEx to say they were delivering it the next day. It arrived just after 9am and was fitted by my local garage shortly after. It works perfectly.

"I have never had a problem before with…"

I have never had a problem before with Maltings until now. I ordered a coolant rail for my discovery and upon fitting found out it was faulty because it leaked. I phoned up and stated the problem, sent pictures for proof etc. I was told to send it back to them which I did, but I had to buy another first to replace the faulty one. So I’ve now bought 2 coolant rails at £267 each and I still haven’t received my refund after 6 weeks of them receiving the faulty one. Now it might just be me but I can’t help feeling that I’m being fobbed off all the time when I phone to enquire. Now Joe on the parts desk has been very helpful and explained that the part needed to go back to the supplier for testing and it can take up to 8 week. I always thought faulty goods were the retailers responsibility and I should have been offered a replacement instead of having to buy it again and then have to wait weeks for my money back. Oh well another 2 week to go and then I may have to take this further to reclaim my money. Again Joe on the parts desk has been helpful…..it’s the Maltings 4x4 business I’ve the issue with. Today the 9th of August I have been refunded the money for the faulty part. The day after this review was posted I had a call from Luke the parts manager who apologised and said I should have been refunded as soon as they received the faulty part. So all good now. Thank you Luke.

Ce site n'est pas complètement honête, je m'explique :
Je viens d'acheter un différentiel pour mon DISCO, que je fait envoyer en France, après négociation, je reçois une facture proforma avec le prix TTC et frais de port inclus !
Déjà j'ai galéré avec UPS, MALTINGS avait edité la facture au nom du garage auquel j'avais demandé qu'ils expédient cet élément, pour plus de pratique, sachant que j'ai la facture Proforma à mon nom que j'ai réglée par virement. Il a fallu plusieurs jours et de nombreux courriels pour faire comprendre à UPS que je suis un particulier et que je n'avais pas de N° de TVA ...
Mais le meilleure reste à venir : lors de la livraison, UPS me demande 156€ de droits et taxes ! je m'empresse de demander pourquoi à MALTINGS ! qui me réponds qu'ils ne prennent pas en charge ces droits et taxes ! même s'il est écrit que le prix est TTC et frais de port inclus, ces droits et taxes restent à ma charge !!!!!
En fin de compte, le prix annoncé sur le site ne prends pas en compte ces droits et taxes, dans le cas d'une exportattion sur la France (dans mon cas), s'ils sont concurentiels sur le site, ils ne le sont plus dans la réalité !
J'ai essuyé un refus catégorique de prise en charge par MALTINGS ! que je considère comme un acte non commercial et avec une telle mauvaise foi, qu'elle est pire que ce que vous pouvez attendre d'un site Chinois ...
En conclusion, faites très attention à ne pas tmber dans ce piège ! à bon entendeur ...

This site is not completely honest, let me explain:
I have just purchased a differential for my DISCO, which I have sent to France, after negotiation, I receive a proforma invoice with the price including tax and shipping costs included!
I have already struggled with UPS, MALTINGS had issued the invoice in the name of the garage to which I had requested that they ship this item, for greater convenience, knowing that I have the Proforma invoice in my name which I paid by transfer. It took several days and numerous emails to make UPS understand that I am an individual and that I did not have a VAT number...
But the best is yet to come: upon delivery, UPS asks me for €156 in duties and taxes! I hasten to ask MALTINGS why! who tells me that they do not cover these duties and taxes! even if it is written that the price is inclusive of VAT and shipping costs, these duties and taxes remain my responsibility!!!!!
Ultimately, the price announced on the site does not take into account these duties and taxes, in the case of export to France (in my case), if they are competitive on the site, they are not. more in reality!
I received a categorical refusal of support from MALTINGS! which I consider to be a non-commercial act and with such bad faith, that it is worse than what you can expect from a Chinese site...
In conclusion, be very careful not to fall into this trap! to the wise...

"Absolutely amazing company"

Absolutely amazing company, went above and beyond recently when i needed 2 additional parts when i broke them changing my oil cooler, they next day delivered what they ha din stock and got the other part from the main dealer the following day. Kieron went above and beyond he must have been sick of my voice, even left the part outside the building when i got delayed in traffic driving there to collect the part.

Slight problem due to website error and wrong brake pads sent, HOWEVER, a quick email and Luke the Parts Manager sorted everything out quickly and without fuss, making sure I had the correct parts the next day. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

"Maltings 4x4 customer service failure "

I bought a Terrafirma ladder for my Defender90. After leaving it on the vehicle for one winter the welds have begun to pinhole, leaving to an unsightly rust drip.
That is not good - so I emailed and even voice called Andy Smallwood of Maltings 4x4 to bring this to his notice and he is totally unresponsive.
I kept copies of the emails and voice messages but I hope to hear more from a supplier when things go wrong, and i certainly don’t expect them to hide when they sold me the product in the first place.
I will buy my Defender bits elsewhere in future and will not be recommending Maltings 4x4 as a trusted supplier anymore.

Today - 20/5/24 - Since I posted the review, Maltings have been in touch and are sending me a replacement rear door ladder.

The replacement ladder arrived as promised and has been fixed, removing the unsightly rust stained original one with the pin-holed welds from Terrafirma. Thank you finally for the replacement ladder which fixes my issue.
