"I took the course August 2022"
I took the course August 2022. I'm at MT. This course comes with the textbook it comes with an online guide it comes with online videos it comes with online quizzes before you take the actual course in person 10 straight days of 12 hours.. so you can be prepared during the 10 days There is a lot of medical terminology. You do your own 40 hr of home study. It's the type of course you sink or swim. I felt terrified before my start. The majority of my class would study during their lunch break and snack break and breakfast and after the class we were studying... This class is not for faint of heart... It's not for somebody that wants to be on social media and shows up and get a certification because they showed up you have to put the work in... Steve Norton did show up to my class he was the second instructor... We were showed the vodder technique it's completely different from regular massages. We learned to bandage it's a lot harder than it looks. Even the PT's in the OT's were struggling... But I can definitely say no one who passed class didn't know what they were doing. Everyone who passed put in the work. People dropped in the beginning that didn't understand the terminology of the course it is so fast paced they have a lot to go through. I even think I failed my assessment my first assessment that definitely puts your confidence down... But it let me know that I didn't understand my material and I needed to study more and I did. And I passed. But I made sure I was attentive the whole course. Understand if you're doing lymphatics you can hurt somebody if you don't know what you're doing. So this class is not easy for a reason. I got a written letter with my name on it at the end of the course it stated that I had met all the qualifications and I had passed my clt course. It did take a few weeks to get my certification in the mail. I would definitely recommend this class to people who will take it seriously. Be ready to study a lot.

"BEWARE"
BEWARE: Never received book although I paid in full 1.5mths before my start date on August 27, 2022. Other classmates received their books who had paid after I did, so make that make sense... I'm hoping for a refund. I completed my course on September 4, 2022 and was never given a certificate of completion. Other courses that cost far less, provided a certificate of completion on the last day of class. A few days ago I was emailed by Liz that if I didn't receive my certificate by mail in a month, to call them. What!!!???? Just email it to me, duh!!!
Here it is the end of December and I've yet to receive my certificate of completion, which has delayed my license renewal!!! I just don't understand how the course cost so much, yet they do so little. I'm highly disappointed and wish I never chose this school. It's just too much and stressful. I simply want what I paid for without having to beg, email and continue waiting... Massage therapist shouldn't take this course, as they will not teach you an intact sequence, even if you ask. Ijs.

"Excellent Course"
Excellent Course
I felt well prepared before attending the live part of the seminar for what I was going to learn. The instructors were top notch and spent good one-on-one time with all of us; making sure we were using the best techniques. My patients are thrilled by the knowledge I am able to share with them in their chronic disease management.

"Suggestions"
I think the class taught me a lot about lymphedema and the treatment of lymphedema. I do think that having two instructors was positive and negative and I felt they weren't on the same page with the material that was taught. It became confusing to perform strokes for MLD differently between the two instructors along with the bandaging techniques. I also think they should include real life situations regarding patients post mastectomy who do have pain. When I got to the clinic to apply my new skills, I became confused with treatment on patients with pain and scars. Overall, I feel like the course was good and taught me a ton, however I feel as if the class could have been more organized between the two instructors and including more real like scenarios with patients who do have pain after their surgeries would have been more helpful.

My time with the educators was very valuable. I learned skills that I am currently applying in my daily practice. I would highly recommend this certification course. One benefit from the class was the two instructors. one the first 1/2 and a different the second 1/2. While this was frustrating at first I can now see the reason for this and the benefit for my current practice. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that even though I took the class over a year ago I still feel the venue provided the best environment for this class.

"The course"
The course, it's self, was excellent. The teachers were also excellent. When I had a problem in the field, I put out a call to one of my instructors. I didn't receive a call back or a text back for over a week. Then, it was just a reason as to why she didn't get back to me. And, said she would call me in a few days. That call never came. I actually quit the job where I was working as a lymphedema therapist. I needed to be talked down from the ledge, and no one was there. I spent a lot of time and money for nothing. I Regret ever taking the course

"The intense prep work prior to …"
The intense prep work prior to attending the actual course made all the difference. Having the whole class starting at the same point made the class work flow smoothly.
