"Very pleased with my fountain purchase"

Very pleased with my fountain purchase. Installation and delivery had not issues. I appreciated the customer service with helping me select a color. So nervous to order something this large online but everything went well.

"I am a consumer that does not like to write a negative review"

I am a consumer that does not like to write negative reviews, however, I have to write on in such an instance. Initially, the customer service was excellent with Sara. I was very excited. When the product arrived the first time, the slate was damaged. I immediately took pictures and contacted Sara. They issued another slate to be delivered. This one arrived damaged as well. The process was repeated. Another slate was ordered. Again, it arrived damaged although it was with a different carrier. The problem was the Soothing Company did not properly package the product for long distance travel. For the life of me, I could not understand why they would not secure a fragile material more securely. I will not discuss that I had to re-schedule my grand opening because of the three attempts to deliver the slate which is an integral part of the product. Nor shall I mention, this is a very expensive purchase, cost close to two thousand. For that price, you think they would get it right. So FINALLY, on the FOURTH attempt, the slate appeared properly secured, however, I had to accept the delivery without inspecting as the carrier would not allow their driver to open it. I immediately called Sara and advised her of this. She stated that I had 48 hours to inspect. Now the problem is this.. my contractor cannot come until after 48 hours and I will not allow any one other than a professional to open this package as long as it took for them to get it right! Loren and Sara advised me basically I am on my own. To sum it up, I am sooo sorry I started this journey with the Soothing Company and once I have this installed, I am praying it looks magnificent for all the trouble I have been through with this company. I would NOT recommend them to my colleagues.

"No customer service after purchase!"

I bought a fountain from them. It doesn't hold water in the basin. They are refusing I help because I didn't cover the fountain in the winter. They never provided a cover or said one needed to be used and I live in Texas so ice isn't really a problem.

I would recommend staying away from them since they don't back their products.

"Could not possibly be more pleased."

Excellent response times, assistance and professionalism throughout the fountain purchase process. Products are as described and customer service is beyond reproach.

Following the recommendations provided by Soothing Walls, fountain was very easy to install once site prep work was completed. We purchased a very large, 4 tier fountain, which did require ground prep and a large front-loader fork lift to assemble. My landscaping professional was able to accommodate all of the prep and assembly. Looks beautiful. An amazing addition to our home.

2 Recommendations to potential buyers:
-Take the time to order the stone color templates to ensure the correct color choice. The on-line colors are a bit off, which in my case worked out well. Could present a problem for some if you choose a color based on digital media alone.
-When receiving your shipment, it may not be possible to immediately open and inspect each and every piece. As was the case with my shipment, my landscaping company was not on hand to open the packaging and inspect each piece at the time of delivery. (Some of the pieces weighed 450lbs). That said, be sure to write "pending inspection" on your delivery receipt. This covers you should you later discover damage to your shipment.

As a business owner, I appreciate good service more than most and also understand the power of positive feedback. I could not possibly be more pleased with the process and end result.

"Very helpful staff"

Very helpful staff. I received our fountain fairly quickly. It had a small piece damaged because of shipping but Soothing Company was very quick to fix the issue. I would recommend this company if you are looking to purchase an indoor fountain.

"Significantly changed price"

We were reviewing an outdoor fountain that was listed at $500. We worked with one person, and had emails about the cost and the color. We called back to order and were told the other person was gone, and the cost of the fountain was now $750. We sent the emails to them to let them know what we were quoted, but we were told that the price was the new price!

"Very disappointed"

I had terrible experience with this company, I bought a big joe bean bag which was utterly overpriced, too small even for a four year old and when I attempted to return I had to pay $30 for shipping it back plus I was charged 15% restocking fee and another $30 to cover their original shipping costs!! essentially this ended up costing me $70 for nothing... Complete disaster, will never order from them again.. Same bag chair on amazon twice the size is only $45 with free shipping and reasonable return shipping. This company should do a better job negotiating with shipping companies and do better job at customer service. The 15% restocking fee is ridiculous especially in cases like this as the chair was brand new! not used at all! there is absolutely nothing to restock..

"GEL FIREPLACE"

A LITTLE DISAPOINTED WITH THE PRODUCT. IT LOOKS OK BUT I SURPRISED THAT I HAD TO PUT IT TOGETHER. SOME OF THE DIRECTIONS WERE NOT VERY CLEAR AND DIFFICULT TO GET IN TO ATTACH THE FIREPLACE TO THE WOOD IN THE BACK.

"Not a future customer"

I am an avid online purchaser. Often I will order a mid range priced product initially to see how the quality fairs prior to making any large purchase, in this case I ordered a table top "fireplace" as a gift. I made the mistake of sending the gift direct to the recipient.
The overall quality of the product was cheap. The saudering of the rivets was not tidy. The rivets were around the metal cylinder or base not attached. The overall esthetics was disappointing. The price point was too high for the quality of the item. The edges of the glass cylinder were rough and a safety concern to display around unattended children. Therefore the product has never been used.
A phone call to customer service lead nowhere, basically that their product quality met their expectation. Unfortunately for The Soothing Company, the customer service agent making the decision to dismiss a customer who spent $200 missed a potentially valuable client. This past year we added landscaping, an outdoor kitchen, pizza oven and firepit of which we ordered more than $75000 of online pieces. Many items we purchased are carried by this company who could have supplied them had we been satisfied with our first purchase.

Additionally we live in a new development of homeowners all doing renovations and or building new homes. All of our neighbours get ideas from each other and share their suppliers for ease of purchasing which is an exponential loss to a supplier like The Soothing Company that did not deliver and therefore would not be recommended.
