I purchased my car with a 3 month warranty with a company called Motorway Direct, it developed a hesitation problem within the first week and I was directed to Halfords initially who had it in for a day and held their hands up and said that they could not find the fault (No charge). I was then directed to DR Automotive in Stone by the Warranty Company. They kept the car for 4 days and charged the warranty company over £230.00 for fitting components that turned out were not required. Contacted them within a week to inform them the fault was still present and felt the response was rather negative and not interested. Had to take it then to W.T.Bell's in Burslem who informed me that the EGR Valve and Oil Cooler needed replacing and it was a main dealer job. The Mechanic there Christian, went the extra mile and rang the main dealer and warranty company and arranged it all for us. We went to the main dealer a week later who found the fault straight away and fixed it at a cost of over £650.00. Plus one part was replaced under the extended warranty which would have sent the bill to over £1000.00. I wish garages could be honest with you if the fault is above their technical capability and not put you through the inconvenience of keeping your car for 4 days.
