" Wrong Maintenance. Not a FAN. AVOID"
Paid around £300 for a service/inspection on my extraction fan unit (MVHR). Followed up three times trying to book for the repairs to be carried out, but they said that they had no engineer availability. Since then I have seen other bad reviews so think they are con artists either ripping people off for a service charge, or charging ridiculous amounts for fans to not be fixed. AVOID.

"Ventilation Extraction Fan Repair"
Wright Maintenance accepted the job of servicing my flat’s faulty ventilation extractor unit. The engineer performed a check and stated that the main PCB required replacing. A quote of over £1,000 was quoted I accepted as they stated they could install promptly and the engineer stated the new part came with a 12 month warranty.
Within 4 weeks of installation the unit malfunctioned, the engineer attended who once again performed another diagnosis. I was informed that I required yet another part for the unit. I started to become suspicious and questioned whether the recently installed part was they issue. The engineer was adamant that this was not the case and second part which he was originally unaware of during the first visit was the problem. At this point started to have suspicions about this individual’s competence as you would have expected this would have been spotted in the first visit.
The second PCB motor was installed a few months later, finally despite an additional £1,000 part I was happy that the problem would finally be sorted, alas however the unit did not work properly, despite the engineer insisting it was. Then like clockwork it broke down fully a few days later and tripped out an electricity breaker which has never happened before.
In total for these two parts and labour I have spent c £2,100 but I have yet to receive a working product. Guess my surprise when the engineer stated that the first part installed during their initial visit was not working. This demonstrates that Wright Maintenance really did not have much idea what they were doing and lacked competence to complete a simple installation (all they managed to do was reduce my bank balance and leave a mess). The engineer stated that the part was still be in warranty due to the installation taking place within the last 12 month, so imagine my surprise when Wright Maintenance’s office called me and told me the part was now mysteriously out of warranty. They then had the audacity to quote an additional £1,300. This made absolutely no sense and I now had my suspicions confirmed that the company is either being dishonest and are a bunch of cowboys.
Following numerous telephone calls, and e-mails I am still without a working product. I have now begun steps of reporting this company to trading standards and considering further actions. Be warned about using Wright Maintenance (a subsidiary of JS Wright) as they have minimal competence and source products which are not in warranty, likely to breakdown as soon as installed. They only seem capable to demanding prompt payments and leaving a mess when they leave. They also have a tendency to make statements via telephone and not in writing so retain all your written communications.
The minimum one can expect is a working product, Wright Maintenance in my opinion have terrible customer service, lack competence in the jobs they accept and provide sub optimal products. I advise business and private customers to avoid, note their lack of positive reviews on Google and other websites.
