"Expensive, but worth it"

Although it's extremely expensive for the material it's made of, It works fantastically. One of the green plastic spikes has broken on the wheel from a stick that was caught in it but it shouldn't make a difference.

This has been a godsend for these useless trees. Well, they do provide gorgeous shade, I’ll give them that. Last season I provided a scoop and bag service that paid for my 18” unit. I do carry a stick with me to push the balls off the sides and deeper into the basket. Once 3-4 clears, I can put it away for the season and rely on my Garden Weasel for the strays.

The Stab-A-Nut Sweet Gum Ball Harvester that I bought worked great for the first year. However it just now jammed up and then the spring broke! Not sure how long they are supposed to last, but I was hoping for longer than that!

It's good to every once in a while buy something that works as advertised. Got it today, put it together (with the handle backwards at first) and went out and used it. I smiled the whole time. Also using heavy duty aluminum tubing on the handle is good.
