All that’s left is for the owner to steal my $400 security deposit, and we’ll have the perfect vacation from hell.

Die Bilder entsprechen nicht dem Zustand! Elektrogeräte funktionieren nicht, ein Techniker musste zwei mal kommen weder der Backofen noch die Waschmaschine funktionierten! In der ersten Nacht mussten wir mit offener Türe der Dachterasse schlafen, dementsprechend kalt war es im ganzen Haus! Die Badezimmertüre war ebenfalls kaputt. Eine Küche mit nur einer kleinen Pfanne und einem Topf auszustatten ist genau so lächerlich, wie der Preis pro Nacht! KEINESFALLS empfehle ich dieses Unternehmen.

Can’t agree more than everyone else. One big scam company who take your deposite, relocate you to another apartment far from town without any information and doesn’t pick up the phone once you have left and paid the money.
Furthermore the apartment doesn’t look like the picture! They are in bad condition, the bath doesn’t work and so on.. I could say a looot of bad things about this company.
So please don’t rent anything from MySpace and make the same fault as we did.

The appartments itself are acceptably clean, but completely owrn down and broken. The promised rooftop pool was a disgusting green pod full of cigaret buts, windows were broken.

And also, like in the many other review they invented a reason why to keep the deposit.

Also mit abstand das schlechteste Appartement in dem ich war. Unser zimmer wurde umgebucht (auf einen mit balkon) obwohl ich das nie bezahlt hatte, wobei das die Grundvoraussetzung bei dem Whats-App link dafür war um so ein Zimmer zu bekommen. Obwohl wir ein Zimmer mit Terasse gebucht hatten hatten wir keines bekommen. Schlussendlich einigten wir uns für 200€ aufpreis für ein Zimmer mit „Balkon“. Dieser war 1,50 breit und kaum benutzbar. Zudem war das Zimmer auch eine reine Katastrophale Sache. Eine große Holzschiebetür war laut und kaum zu bewegen. Das sogenannte „Badezimmer“ war ja die größte Frechheit, am Eingang direkt die Dusche eingebaut wer macht Sowas ? Wenn sich jemand duschte stand das Bad unter wasser nachdem alles in einem Raum war. Ein Roter Fellteppich hinterließ auf allem Haare, das damit in Berührung kam. Ebenso mussten wir dem Team 2 Monate wegen der Kaution von 400€ hinterherlaufen.

I wish I could give less than a 1 star. This experience was a bait and switch. The apartment was in total disrepair - cigarette burns in and stains all over the carpet, holes in the wall, scratches all over the floors and walls, freezer was unusable because it was frosted over, I could go on and on. When I reported a broken/dangerous piece of stair to the management company, on our 1st day, they ignored me, and my son was, lo and behold, injured falling into it. They completely ignored my messages about it. The beds are worse than sleeping on the floor (we resorted to sleeping on the couches, it was so bad) and the linens and towels are threadbare. PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY. I've stayed at so many airbnbs and vacation rentals in my time and this was the absolute worst.

Nightmare Experience with My Space Barcelona. Be cautious; they are thieves and real criminals.

I recently had the displeasure of staying at My Space Barcelona, and I must say it was the worst accommodation experience of my life.
From the moment I arrived, things went downhill.
Firstly, their payment system seemed to be stuck in the dark ages. I tried to pay with my perfectly functioning credit card, swiping it multiple times, but they insisted it didn't work. I had to pay 400 euros in cash as a deposit with no proper receipt at all. Even though I asked the receptionist to provide me with a receipt, he said it was unnecessary.
But that was just the beginning of my woes. Despite my diligent efforts to document the cash payment on the Booking.com intranet, no one bothered to respond, neither the host nor Booking.com.
I spent four days in what was described on the Booking.com platform as a "decent" apartment, but there was no sound insulation, and we could hear the neighbors' conversations all night long.
What was described as a non-smoking establishment turned out to be a place where people smoked hash. The smell of hash permeated the corridors and even entered our apartment.
A day before my check-out, I visited their office to discuss the 400 euros refund; they promised it would be processed within two weeks.
And let's talk about their communication skills, or lack thereof. I provided my bank details twice, and all I got in return were empty promises. They claimed the payment had been processed and my bank account remained empty. When I asked for transaction details, I was met with silence.
It's clear to me that My Space Barcelona had no intention of returning my 400 euros. They've left a poor student like me in a dire financial situation.
I shudder to think how many other unsuspecting travelers they've swindled.
It took me no less than 30 correspondences with both the host and Booking.com, as well as over a dozen phone calls, to finally get my money back, 50 long days after my check-out, not from the host as they kept playing games, but from Booking.com who decided to anticipate a solution to this ongoing issue.
Booking.com, you really need to reevaluate your association with this shady establishment, they are criminals. They've not only ruined my vacation but also tarnished your reputation. My advice to fellow travelers: steer clear of My Space Barcelona if you value your hard-earned money and your peace of mind. This has been an absolute nightmare, and I hope no one else has to endure such a horrendous experience.

This is a horrible company, they will steal your security deposite and anything else. They misrepresented a property we secured and paid for only to arrive to a complete disaster, leaks, noise, no lights, mold, the sad part is they said lets look at three more and all three union a walk through with the manager all failed general property mgmt. protocol….. Frozen refrigerator door would not open… Leak from AC , no air conditioner in a loft that designed with master bedroom on third floor!! We booked this through VRBO and they are calling this company everyday and getting no response!!! BEWARE BEWARE… Hey My Space Barcelona were are you ethics???

They are friendly but it is scam, place to stay not ok and they do not pay deposit back. Would not book one of their placds.

This is SCAM! We got a good apartment but the depoist of 400euro is nothing we got back yet. They are telling me that they had "problem with suspicious account and stopped with the refunds" Eveything worked fine until now. We visit Barcelona May 4 until May 7th 2023. I am going to report them to E-justice Europa.
