Despite placing an order online which included payment at the beginning of December for New year , I experienced a lengthy wait at the shop to get my items. I quoted my order number on arrival
Other customers came in behind me and bought over the counter much quicker.
One would have thought that prepaid orders would have been so much more streamlined in order to minimise the time spent in the shop with other customers in light of the pandemic. The shop at the time was not busy .The staff in the shop were pleasant. I would like to add that we found the Aberdeen Angus steak pie and gravy far too salty and our guests found this to be the case also. Perhaps a reduced salt pie could be a future option available to customers. We unfortunately were unable to eat the pie but felt as we had cooked it , we would be unable to return. A steak pie is not a specialist product and these were on display in the shop and purchased by other customers freely . Disappointing so won’t be returning

Awesome! Ordered the Norfolk Black Turkey for Xmas. Taste is fabulous, no dry meat and beautiful succulent flavour! Customer service is great too.

Order was delivered a day earlier than confirmed on the booking and had to be accepted by neighbours as we were out. Luckily not a big problem for us but it could be for others who don’t have accommodating neighbours.
At the price I would have expected the bacon to be dry cured but there was a lot of water and salt that came out when cooking. I don’t think it was mentioned on the website but It was my expectation of a premium product. Sausages were also very salty.
Turkey was smaller than I expected - buying based on number of people not weight so my mistake completely but I think the 5kg bird feeding 10-12 people is still quite optimistic- is you want cold meat for the next day so maybe make the serving size realistic in future. Having said that the turkey did cook beautifully and tasted very good.
