"Poor service and caused damage to our boiler"

Poor service. They company caused problems to our boiler. They used cheap items to save money, and take advantage of us to get more money without repairing it properly. They issued us a gas safety certificate which says the boiler was working well and no further action is needed, but within few hours the boiler started leaking, it never leaked before and the boiler pressure was in the green zone as it should be, and when we told them about the leaking they lied and made things up to cover their fault. I knew they were lying because I was a mechanical engineer and have good understanding of fluid mechanism and boiler pressure.
The boiler was well maintained and well looked after, we had an annual boiler service which ended up damaging our boiler, causing leaking and costing us more than £220. They wanted another £282 to come and try to fix the problems they caused to our boiler.
They think themselves smart but obviously the company is a scam. I do not recommend this company. Avoid it and be aware when you dealing with them.

On diagnosing the problem and realising that we would be without a shower until the problem was fixed - he set about the repair immediately. He worked fast, professional and at all times respectful, friendly and courteous. To top it all, the bill was not astronomical at all - very reasonable. Would recommend him any day.

We have employed the services of J & S several times over the last 2 years or so. They are always responsive & the engineers / plumbers have always done an excellent job. Clean & tidy and always happy to explain what they have done & why. Also the always give a quote on the spot for work to be done & happy to explain why parts need replacing. We had some experiences with other companies visits who tried to say we needed a new oil boiler but the J & S engineer dispelled this as totally unnecessary & did a repair saving us perhaps £3,000 to £4,000 & boiler still OK 2 years later. Recommend them without hesitation
