"Bodalgo TERRIBLE Client Relations"

On December 6th, 2020 I wrote a review for Voice Realm:

VOICE REALM Customer Service
BEST customer service (thank you Audrey!!). So FAST (her response was instantaneous!) and sooooo nice and helpful. I had an issue on Bodalgo yesterday and in comparison, very very RUDE, dismissive and curt!! FIVE STARS for VOICE REALM in Customer Service tonight. And the problem was resolved! yay!!

UPDATE DECEMBER 14, 2020

Today I received an email from the head of BODALGO informing me that he is issuing a refund for the remaining 2 months and 1 week of my membership (which I did not ask for), which was promptly followed by a CANCELLATION email of my membership (which I also did not ask for). I was advised as well that I have been DELETED from their website. This very confusing and childish behaviour became clear in the last email from Mr. Bodalgo today, when I realized he had read my Trustpilot review of Voice Realm. Here's what it said:

"PS: Oh, I almost forgot:
I would advise you set your story with trustpilot right. Otherwise we would have to publish the email conversation, so people get the full story. I am sure you would agree that is just fair, right?"

-- Hmmm. Set my story “right”… or else?? That sounds like a threat and an assumption that I had no true basis for my comment on Trustpilot on December 6th. I expressed my OPINION on how I perceived my interaction with BODALGO when I wrote an email expressing my dissatisfaction with clients not listening to auditions and asked for "auto-renewal" to be taken off my account.

The biggest issue, after being deleted and now bullied, is being treated as disposable. Actors ARE your clients. Bodalgo is waaaaay oversubscribed. There are close to 350 people auditioning for one job, regularly. So I would STAY AWAY from BODALGO!!! And in response to his threat, I stand by my comment above - RUDE, DISMISSIVE and CURT. Perhaps I will add a few more words - PATRONIZING, UNAPPRECIATIVE, HOSTILE.
And to Mr. Bodalgo, because no doubt you will read this addendum, you don't have to "publish the email conversation" to show your glowing innocence. I'll do it.

My first email:
“Hello there,
I am not sure that I’ll be renewing my BODALGO account. In comparison with other PTP services, I find that the clients of BODALGO don’t listen to auditions.
For example, for the past two weeks, NONE of my auditions were listened to!!
I think I will try another site if this doesn’t improve before my membership here ends.
I’ve booked three things with another site within two months of joining and haven’t landed a job on your site in over a year.
To that point, can you tell me how to take off the AUTO-BILL on my account??
I want to be in control of this decision.
Thank you,
Shauna”

The response: “Hello Shauna,
Your premium membership has been canceled and will turn into a free membership on February 22, 2021 (you will be able to audition until that date, of course). “

My response to this: “Thanks for the personal response to my email. Sheesh!!!”

His reply:” I do not understand. Didn't you ask to have the automatic payment to be stopped?”

My response:
“I had sent a note about clients not opening auditions.
There was no comment on that. No advice offered. Not much care about what I wrote.
Just a generic message w payment options changed.
It’s just not the kind of response I would expect after having been a member of your service for a couple of years. So thanks.”

His reply was reminding me that perhaps I had forgotten it was late in Germany…and that he was intending to get back to me after the weekend.

I did not reply to this email, as it was made clear that I was disturbing him on a Friday afternoon, 5pm EST.

What a childish response. But what can you expect from an entitled prima donna. If this is the guy who is running the show, ask yourself if this is the kind of person you would like to do business with? A person who has the capacity to talk to his client like that. A bigger idiot than I thought. Go to Voice Realm instead, where women run the show properly!!
