"The Best Choice for Car Rentals:ASCAR"

I had a great experience with ASCAR. The guys at ASCAR helped me with a car without having made a reservation in advance. The entire rental process was very quick, taking almost 20 minutes, and I received a manual Dacia Duster, perfect for the mountain drive I took through Brasov. Surely, my next rental car will be from you.

"Beware of the 'crock'!"

We turned up to discover that our holiday hire car from Ascar was an appalling wreck. In the UK we call this kind of car a 'shed' and in the USA it's called a 'crock' - a crock of..... My partner used to work in the car industry in the UK and says he's never seen a hire car in such poor condition. I would like to add that this was not some discounted price given but €35 per day for a Toyota Yaris. There were 17 separate entries made on the 'flat car' diagram, some of which actually referred to multiple instances of damage plus missing hubcaps, a damaged car key and 160,000 km on the clock. We took photographs but as you can imagine, checking for every dent, mark and scratch on something that looked like it ought to be on the scrapheap was quite difficult. We did not think to photograph the windscreen....On driving it, the engine rattled like a bag of spanners being shaken. On returning the car, the car hire agent immediately pointed out a chip to the windscreen. It was close to the windscreen wipers and couldn't be seen from sitting in the car. Was it there already or did it happen during our hire? Who knows. We were charged €150 for the 'damage.' This car should never have been rented out and my view of Ascar as a result are that they are a bunch of cowboys. So why did we rent it? We had a long drive ahead and accommodation booked so trying to get another car at short notice would have disrupted all of this. Never again with Ascar!
