Very clearly a business who longer values its customers.

Having used them for quite a few years I am changing to a better cheaper tailor.

The quality of the material and the cut of the suit was not comparable with the price that was charged.

3 months on the suit is in baggy and uncomfortable, I am going to have to get it adjusted locally.

During the original fitting the fit was raised but they convinced me it looked good, when I got home my wife was shocked and the Apsley made no effort to fix the issue other than demand that I came to London for a refit. This would take me a whole day plus the cost of a return ticket £75.


That is the least they could do to fix the issue and visit me in Henley which is a service that they used to offer.

Apsley have obviously changed the management and attitudes are different and I would stay away.

They have forgotten about customer service and believe that they are always right.

I would seriously advise anyone considering using Apsley to think again and go to either a better London tailor of which there are many.

I have had 5 suits plus my wedding suit, numerous shirts and an overcoat made. And they are absolutely outstanding. The service and workmanship.

If you want to take advantage of one of their offers, don't waste your time - the fabrics offered are not going to be the ones you want a suit or jacket to be made out of. As soon as you go in the upsell goes on and although I was tempted to go for a suit at £1500 (as opposed to two at £1600), they kept on wanting to up-sell, in the end I left. I have bought a number of fully bespoke suits and many made to measure jackets - this experience was very uncomfortable for me - they just didn't listen and talked themselves out of a sale.

I’m larger than average frame size so jacket is probably a 56” / 58” chest and when the jacket was initially finished it was in need of some fettling. To be fair, the jacket was then taken back in and altered to give a better fit. There was no issue or charge, just pleasant efficient service...the end result a very nice jacket. These guys also have a note of my non-standard measurements now so going back later this year won’t be a problem. Can recommend.
