I am really disappointed reading some of the other reviews on here. This is the 3rd time I have used Maximise, the first 2 trips went ahead with pretty much no issues. The 3rd trip was due to take place on the start of July but has obviously been disrupted by COVID-19. I read peoples reviews and got nervous that I would experience something similar when in fact it has been quite the opposite. Yes responses have been delay (I think I waited about a week for a reply at one point) but I always got a reply. I can only imagine the volume of messages they are getting at the moment hence the delay in responding. People complaining about not getting a refund, what did you expect booking 3rd party? I'm not saying it is acceptable but I am also not surprised. When I knew my trip wasn't going ahead I knew it was pointless to ask for a refund so instead I asked to reschedule, changing an abroad trip to a UK destination months later. I have dealt with Valentina throughout it all who has happily helped me to change my entire package to suit the current situation as well as what I wanted. This hasn't been an easy situation for the most of us but how accommodating they have been has definitely helped to ease my stress in these difficult times.

Do not use, they are refusing refunds in light of a trip cancelled due to Coivd-19 in March and a number of us have since lost our jobs so the credit note is of no use. There is no way to contact apart from to utilise the credit note. Will be reporting to the competition watchdog as recommended on other posts.

This company are refusing to contact us and are not picking up any emails or voicemails - absolute shambles! I will be speaking to trading standards and complaining further!

"Disgraceful"
Disgraceful, due to Covid 19 our hen do was cancelled and we were only issued a credit note. As the wedding has now been moved to a date where we won't be able to travel before, this credit note is of no use to us. This company has over £1000 of our money and seem to find any excuse under the sun not to refund us. They've told members of the party that all communication has to go through me as I'm the group leader but I haven't heard anything back. I'm shocked at how a company can treat people this way during such a hard time that affects EVERYONE, not just them. Clearly we're not the only ones they've refused to refund. Disgusting.

As with others, Maximise are refusing to answer emails. They have issued very restricted vouchers due to Covid-19 and not cash refunds.
This is going to be followed up with the Competition and Markets Authority. I suggest others do the same. Further details at Money Saving Expert look for ‘Watchdog to investigate coronavirus cancellation policies’.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Due to Covid-19 our trip was cancelled and they are refusing to give us our money back, they have taken over £1000. We have sent 7 emails and they just ignore them all, they have also removed an English option on their phone line so that it is impossible to get through to a person.

awful - was due to go on a hen do which no longer can be fulfilled due to COVID19 and this company have over £1200 of our money and are refusing to give a refund and think a credit note is acceptable. Completely unacceptable as we are unable to rebook the hen do. I will never use this company again and suggest nobody else uses these - their behaviour and lack of interest is unprofessional and we are all now way out of pocket. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY AND NEVER USE THEM. As I can see, sadly we’re not the only group they have taken money from.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the company, contacted us to say they couldnt fulfill their obligations cause of COVID and by law they had to refund us and now have issued a statement that they wont be refunding us because of some law changes in France. They cant fulfill their side of the bargain and we're left out of pocket, if you want to contact anyone, you have to write a letter to somewhere in France?
My mind is blown by how a company can run like this. How can you not have my money to give me back when we havent been on the trip yet?

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! If I could rate them nothing I would. We booked a boat party for a hen do in Prague. As it was within 6 weeks they insisted we pay in full which we did. The hen do has now been cancelled due to Covid 19. They contacted us to say they had to cancel when the Czech Republic closed their borders. They then stalled us and have since said because of changes in French law they will not be returning our money. We have no idea when we will be able to travel again, so their offer of a credit note is useless and they have also highlighted that if less people can go should we rebook it will just be tough. Disgusting way to treat customers. Irony is that if they had refunded us when we rebooked we would have used them
