To develop 3D animations for my project, I acquired the services of Video Symmetry. Their videos communicated the entire content clearly, leaving a lasting impression on the viewers. Moreover, the character's portrayal is lively and entertaining. More than five stars from our side!

"Terrible! Unbelievably poor service."

We asked video symmetry to complete an explainer video for us at the end of 2020. We had regular meetings and although it took a little longer than they advised, overall we were pleased with the finished piece. Therefore, we asked the same team to undertake a slightly smaller project consisting of 9 short animations. Again we met with their team and were told the project was very straightforward and would take no more than 3 weeks. This was at the start of March. 

It is now approaching the end of November! We've been sent some of the animations but not all. We’ve chased for the remaining animations for months and have heard excuse after excuse as to the reason for the delay. After finally hearing back from a different manager, we’ve been informed that our original manager is off sick and as far as they are concerned the project is complete. This is certainly not the case. 

They will not send the design files so we cannot take the project elsewhere. 

They simply offered us a discount voucher for them to complete the work! We've already paid for the work and it has not been completed! Why would we pay again?!

A truly shocking and unprofessional service which we've found to be incredibly frustrating. We would strongly recommend avoiding using video Symmetry!

"Could have been better."

I would like to rate higher, but my experience was not the best due to the amount of time it took for my video to be completed and the amount of issues that kept on unfolding. I was told that it would take 3 months for my video to be completed. 1 year later, I got my video. I can only see the cause of this as Video Symmetry takes more task than they can handle. I personally find them hot and cold during my time with them. One minute they will be doing well with my video, the next I don't hear from them. Another thing that result in the video taking so long to complete were points that were brought up to be corrected took forever to be corrected and when they where seen to, things that where fine where then messed up and changed without being asked to. We then end up with more issues than before.

Desmond took over the video and it was only then that we started moving forward. without him I strongly believe my video wouldn't have been completed and I would have been asking for my money back.

I am sure there would be others out there that their video's have been completed sooner. As my company is a smaller company and not yet fully developed, I believe that my video was placed aside whiles bigger companies were seen to.
End result, I got my video. If I had been told it would have taken this long to complete, I would not have given them this task.
Lesson learnt, I will never pay in full again for any project like this. When the task has been completed, then I will pay the full amount.
Best way to have correction made is by Zoom call to point out the issues on the video.

I am from the same company as the other one-star review, however as many positive reviews have popped up in recent days (pushing our honest review further down the page), I thought it best to reiterate the experience we’ve had with Video Symmetry.

We have been left with no video and no refund, even after the promise of a money-back guarantee from the very friendly sales guy promising the world for an unbelievable price. Included in our price was the script, voiceover & artwork, however, the voiceover and script provided was unusable and did not at all reflect the requests we had made both in writing and over zoom. We ended up writing the script ourselves and recording our own voiceover. Now you’d assume with the lesser amount of work to complete, the company would pull out all the stops and create the video exactly as we asked, right? After all, this is the service they provide day in & day out: interpreting someone's request into an animation. We couldn’t have been more wrong.

After multiple emails, phone calls back & forth, providing extra recourses, images, and illustrations. Each and every reiteration of the storyboard was horrendous. I and one of my colleagues have spent hours working on this project, repeating the same points and making the same requests again and again, when this is a service we paid for specifically to take the load off our shoulders. Without even an animation to show for it, Video Symmetry has done nothing but waste our valuable time.

They did everything in their power to discredit the other review we left, including stating falsehoods and offering the refund only if we took our review down.

Since requesting our refund we’ve had an offer of a full refund, then all of a sudden it was a partial refund if we take down our review. Now we’re left with nothing, no communication or money back.

If you’re a small business who’s looking for work done and Video Symmetry stand out because of their price, please please please consider this review in your decision.

"Honestly one of the worst experiences I…"

Honestly one of the worst experiences I have had in my business life to this point. We are a small business already hampered by the effect that Covid-19 has had on our industry and the experience with Video Symmetry has been nothing shy of a disaster. This company will do anything to get you onboard and take payment, then leave you in complete tatters without care or any deal of help. I have never felt so strongly about ensuring that other small business don't fall for a service and people that are happy with robbing you of your money without care or delivery of product.

Promised by the company to receive our money back if the project was not completed to our satisfaction and not meeting that promise is one thing, but to have a multitude of inefficiencies and misleading calls to spin our company a lie about the level of video they are able to produce is even more damaging. We have... to this point... created our own script (while paying for script writing), recorded our own narration (while paying for narration) and gone through a multitude of calls intended to understand what we'd like to achieve which quite frankly may as well have been a 5-minute 'yeah, yeah, we get it, goodbye' with the complete lack of interest and absence of genuine desire to understand what we're doing. We have now had two members of our already stretched team, in this less than easy world of the pandemic, spend a ludicrous amount of time doing the leg work on this project with what has, to this point, resulted in a few stock images being put together in a disjointed storyboard over the course of 2 months!

I cannot get a hold of the company now, have left a multitude of voicemails and have only since received a one line email as follows with the refund policy attached:
"Hello,
Please find the Refund policy below".

Shocking.

We have thrown £399.99 and a considerable amount of time and resources down the drain using this company and I sincerely hope that anyone reading this will keep well away in order to avoid the same fate.

I would simply love to have any kind of contact from Video Symmetry to help, but unfortunately my faith in the company's ability to do the right thing for people is non existent at this point.

Shocking. A week after posting this I am editing again and still no contact from Video Symmetry. Imagine being a person/people/company that steps on the little guy while they're down.
